The party carried on until the sun hit its peak and everyone savored the rare warmth of the sun in Ohio staying by the pool in the back yard. What they where doing was much to everyone's confusion but it somehow made everything better. Their family was something rare and special.

The familiar family of red heads entered through the sliding glass door and immediately engulfed Elizabeth in a large embrace. "Hey Lizzy! Happy birthday." Corey smiled into her hair seeing as he was somewhat taller than her. He pulled out a rectangular box. "I got you a gift." He gave a cheeky grin. His mom dispersed soon after to find Josh, leaving them alone to talk.

"You didn't have too." She blushed.

Corey waved it off. "Of course I did! What's the point of the party then?"

She rolled her eyes and opened the black velvet box revealing a golden chain necklace. Connected in the center was a replica of an iris, with swirls of unending color patterns within it. When you tilted the reflective necklace, she saw the words; 'the light of my life, emitted from your eyes' with a finishing date of '9.9.16'.

She read over the words over and over, her heart swelling each time. "It's so corny I love it." She gave a breathless chuckle and buried her head in his chest as he smiled. "I thought you may like it... So I was thinking... Your dad's tour starts next month, which isn't that faraway. And I was thinking that maybe... Maybe you'd want to go to that underground art thing you've been talking about..."

She fake gasped. "I'm sorry, but did you just ask me on a date?"

He sheepishly scratched the back of his neck "I-I mean, if you don't want to that's completely okay-"

"Meet me at the park at 5?" She rushed. He nodded quickly. "Sure! Yeah."

"Call me and tell me how it goes, okay honey?" His mothers sweet voice entered through his ears as he nodded then realized she couldn't see through the cellphone.

"Of course mom."

She was on the near bridge of tears. He could hear. "Just, make sure my baby's safe. Bring her home Martin. Bring her home."

The line was cut short and he exited his car. He hesitantly walked up the pavement pathway, and let his hand nervously glide through his hair multiple times. He double checked the address of the house to make sure the location he received through the email was accurate. He gingerly knocked on the door, but then regretted it thinking of the odds he'll actually see his long-lost sibling.

The happy blonde twisted the stainless steal handle. Her icy blue eyes turning to curious ones as she caught sight of the tall brunette with teal blue eyes disheveled appearance before her. She furrowed her eyebrows.

"Hi... Who may you be?" She asked politely.

He smiled wide, matching his personality as he extended his hand. "I apologize for the sudden intrusion, but I've received an email stating that Elizabeth Forester was here, and you were celebrating her sixteenth birthday." Jenna rose an eyebrow as she noticed his foreign accent that she couldn't identify where it was from and his facial structure that she seemed to have seen somewhere.

"No, problem but uh, who are you to her?" She asked and folded her arms across her chest.

"My name is Martijn Garritsen. But I'm better known as Martin. I'm her brother."

Jenna's eyes widened as she opened the door wider for him to enter the comfortable home. She instructed him to stay in the entryway as she locked the door behind him. Then left for where the celebration seemed to be held at.
