The murky mist of the midnight air swarmed past the car as they fell silent. The only girl present pointed out the home thed just previously passed that day. "That's the home. We have to get in. I just know it."
"But there was a family in there? Not Intimidating at all." Corey responded to add more logical perspective.
"That's what they always do. Pay a mock family to distract others from that's actually going on inside." She mumbled words incoherently. "They leave every day at midnight. Then come back. Its like a job to help the wicked."
"That's smart." Oliver added in.
"But foolish. Shouldn't the neighbors hear what's going on underneath?""No, he built a laboratory underneath the entire neighborhood. He's a mad man, but he knows his routs."
"So you're saying once we get in, it could be forever to find Mercy and Jenna?"
She shook her head. "No, I know where he puts his subject. The insane stay at the front, the more sane, but more evil towards the back." A chill ran down her spine at the thought. "I still don't know guys. Something about this just seems seriously off."
Corey chuckled. "This isn't a horror movie babe. You have me, and your magical British brother here."
"There's so many things you've said wrong in that sentence that I'd want to punch you for but since you're young I'll keep you alive." Oliver sneered.
She rolled her eyes as Corey plastered a dumbfounded expression.
"Slow down, Oliver." Elizabeth warned, the car immediately beginning to pace itself. He turned off the headlight with the flick of his fingers.
They spotted four heads, the familiar faces of the family that distracted for the house hold walking down the sidewalk, and down the house.
Smirking, Elizabeth found herself helpful to know her statement was true. "Oliver, we have to hurry. Park the car somewhere hidden, we have to get in the house before it goes under lockdown."
Nodding stiffly he twisted the steering wheel into the nearby Forest. Turning off the ignition, the three filed out and looked both ways before dashing behind the houses and into their back yards.
Three houses down, she found the familiar symbol of ecstasy the scientists relished in while glancing at it. "That's the house."
She whispered, ducking underneath the window.
Oliver crept up, placing his hands at good grip for the handles before pulling roughly the door barely budging. "Fuck." He cursed to himself. His hands brusing red.
"That's insane, the doors are always open unless-" she paused "we where too late." Their eyes widened as if on que a bright light shone on the back of them, a burly voice shouting out;
"Freeze!" Complying to the mans orders, they didn't move an inch. Turning around, they both focused their eye from the light.
But Elizabeth glared right through and into the mans deep brown eyes. She's seen him before. But where.
The man glanced over to her left where Corey stood petrified. The light flickered off.
"Corey?" The man mumbled in shock.
Familiarizing the voice, his eyes shot up, narrowing to see for himself in shock.
"Dad?"
