Round One X Start!

The next day Usagi woke up late, extremely tired from barely having slept the night before, her book being partly to blame. Upon walking into the living area, she noticed that Killua and Alluka were already awake and sat on barstools in the kitchenette. To Usagi's surprise Leorio was there with them, eating donuts that she presumed he had bought.

"Hey," she said groggily, sitting next to Killua. Crossing her arms over the table, she buried her face in the crook of her elbow.

"You look tired," Leorio said as he pushed the box towards her.

"I am tired," Usagi replied, picking her head up slightly to reach into the box and pull out a glazed donut.

"Join the club," Killua stated, raising a hand slightly.

Taking a bite of her breakfast, she chewed slowly before having a sudden moment of realization; quickly downing her bite of deliciousness, she asked, "Are any of us in a fight today?"

Leorio shook his head. "No, we are not sacrificial lambs to test the waters of Battle Royale today."

"That's a very Usagi-ish thing of you to say," Killua stated, taking a bite of a chocolate donut.

"So it is," he replied, finishing his own breakfast before turning towards Alluka and saying, "You're going to watch the fight with us!"

"Yay!" Alluka exclaimed, raising her hands into the air.

Finishing their meal, Usagi escaped into her room to change clothes before they would head out. After putting on her normal blue shirt and half-skirt half-shorts pair of pants that refused to be categorized, she laced her boots and walked over to the group.

"Okay, let's go!" Leorio said, beginning to walk out of the room.

"Wait, I need to do something first," Killua stopped him. "You can start walking with Alluka, and we'll catch up."

"I'm staying?" Usagi asked, pointing at herself.

"Yes," he replied simply. Complying with a sly grin, Leorio ushered Alluka outside and closed the door behind him.

"So, what's this about?" Usagi asked, following Killua to where he had left his bag in the living room.

"I never got to give you your present yesterday," Killua stated, digging through his things.

"Oh! Well, thanks!" she said, crouching next to him.

Pulling out a medium sized box, he held it out in front of her. Usagi picked up the box eagerly and tore open the paper.

"I wish I could've given it to you yesterday, but we got busy so..." he explained as she opened it.

Once she could tell what it was, she gasped and made Happy Usagi noises. "This is greeaaaaattt!!" she exclaimed, bouncing in her feet as she pulled out a new pair of headphones. "Damn, you know how to give gifts!"

Laughing at this, he said, "Well, at least you like it. I was actually a little unsure of what to get you, but I know you like music so it seemed like the obvious choice."

"Hah! I like it, so you win at life. But, I mean, you could've always given me candy," she stated, boxing the present before placing it on the ground to retrieve when they came back.

As they walked towards the door, Kilkua looked her dead in the eye and said, "If I buy the candy, I eat the candy."

"That's so you," she stated as they walked outside to catch up with Leorio and Alluka.

As the group sat on one of many rows of seats in the stadium, they talked eagerly about what may happen.
