Killua paced around in the living room, one arm crossed over his chest as his opposite hand ran through his hair, Leorio's foot tapping as he sat on the couch, hunched over with his hands clenched before him as Alluka sat next to him.
"I don't get it," Killua mumbled, exasperated, "the note said she'd be back in two weeks..."
Alluka read the note in her hands. "Where's Onee-chan? Maybe we can find her?"
"She left no clues," Leorio began, looking ahead blankly. "Usagi just up and left without any reason... it's not like her."
"Yeah, well, she did it, okay? We need to find her before we ask why," Killua stated, his hands gesturing as he spoke. "It's been a month and we haven't heard anything from her. We've tried calling and texting, but nothing has come up. What do you think we should do?"
"I have no idea... I don't think we should just be sitting here, though," Leorio added. His head lifted to look at Killua directly. "Should we call Kurapika? He might know a thing or two about tracking."
"That might be a good idea..." Killua mused over the thought, still pacing. "I'll give him a call."
"Nope," Leorio let out, pulling away Killua's phone as he reached for it. "I'll call. You stay in here and explain to Alluka what's going on."
Leorio stood and walked out of the room, tapping on the phone screen to call Kurapika. Looking from Leorio to Alluka, Killua sat beside his sister.
"Alluka," he began, clasping her hand in his, "Do you understand that Usa– Onee-chan is missing?"
Alluka nodded, looking at their hands. "Why did she leave?"
"We don't know, Alluka. We're going to find her though, I promise." His heart wasn't fully in the idea.
"That's good," Alluka mumbled, sniffling as her eyes bubbled over. She lunged forward and hugged her brother, who held her tightly against him, running his hands through her hair as she clasped into his shirt and shuddered against his chest.
Once Leorio walked into the room a few moments later, he shoved the phone in his pocket and crouched down beside them on the couch; he squeezed Alluka's shoulder before looking up at Killua, who was lost in thought as his eyes gazed downwards.

Back at the Ametsuchi house, Chi paced in the hallway with cobblestone walls, the deeply underground room cold and suffocating as she debated entering.
She could hear Usagi's screams coming from he other side, making her tense as she bit her finger more and more. Hisoka was standing beside the door.
"Are you going in?" he asked, his voice smooth and tricky as usual.
"I'm not sure." There was a crash from inside the room. Chi winced. "I'm too scared..."
Hisoka looked at the young woman with a look of uncertainty, questioning even his own ideals. "I would go in there myself, but I already have enough blame for what's happening to the girl."
"I just don't think it's right," she mumbled, turning to face him. "For Sachiko to be doing this, that is. It's been over two weeks now."
"I think you should go in," Hisoka told her.
Chi breathed deeply, clenching her fists and putting on a determined countenance. She pushed open the double doors as they gave way with a series of clicks.
Her eyes widened drastically, absorbing the scene before her. It had gotten worse in the past two days.
Blood was splattered against the walls, the tools she had used strewn about like toys she had stopped playing with. Usagi was propped against the wall, bruised and blistered hands fumbling as she pushed herself up.
