Despite the fact that Usagi had had a fight scheduled in Battle Royale that ended in the butchering of her hand, she was scheduled to reenter the arena two days later, which gave her enough time to contemplate whether or not she even wanted to continue Battle Royale. The feeling of the concept in general was reminiscent to a "too good to be true" setup for someone to get, who knows, murdered.

Needless to say, it was quite the unsettling experience.

Once the day in question had arrived, Usagi walked none-too-excitedly out to the stadium with Leorio, Alluka, and Killua. As they walked, Usagi and Killua slowed to walk beside each other behind Leorio and Alluka.

"You know you don't have to do this," Killua stated, hands on the back of his head.

Shrugging, Usagi replied, "Obviously if you've noticed I'm not very thrilled about this then you must know why I'm still competing."

He was silent for a moment before saying, "Is this about that girl."

She nodded, avoiding eye contact. "I have a hunch that she's here."

Killua looked at the ground, thinking about what she had said. "Any specific reason why?"

"I think she's trying to bring us both back, and that she's trying to use Battle Royale to her advantage, maybe to weaken us."

"I had the same thought, to be honest," he admitted. "That they were after us. I think the best move would be to act like we have no idea– I find that usually works."

Usagi nodded before walking into her corridor, their talk too short to ease her nerves.

Heart pounding, Usagi mentally prepared herself for reentering the fray of Battle Royale. The gate opened too soon, her name being announced right as she stepped outside.

She had only taken a handful of steps when the next opponent was announced– Hanzo.

Usagi froze in place, eyes widening as she looked at him to her left; he didn't look at her the way two acquaintances from the Hunter Exam would look at each other. He looked at her the way a hunter looks at their prey.

From on the seats Killua's hands clenched over his knees, eyes fixated on them both.

Her heart pounding in her ears, the only thing that could knock her out of her tunnel-vision was that damned peppy commentator shouting, "Start!"

Back in reality, the first thing she did was get away from Hanzo. Wings conjured, she jumped into the air and flew away; turning around, she saw him glaring at her.

Her moment of looking back having distracted her, someone took the chance and grabbed her foot, yanking her from the air and onto the ground. In a split second she was back on her feet, arms up and blocking an attempted punch to the chin. Avoiding  the use of her right hand was not an issue due to her being primarily left handed, so she was able to quickly and easily back-hand strike them from her angle before kneeing their stomach.

After they fell to the ground, Usagi bolted again before Hanzo could catch up, but her attempt was in vain. He appeared in front of her suddenly, arm reared back as if to strike. She had barely raised her arms when his fist connected with her forearm.

Knees bent, she skidded backwards several feet from the force.

Using Gyo to look at him, Usagi saw that his Nen was a murky grey.
