The next day the group of four headed out and went to the store for food and the like. When in the chip aisle, Killua asked Usagi, "What kind of chips do you like?"

"Oh, I'm always a slut for Doritos," she let out, shaking her head while reaching out across him for the precious red bag.

Killua just have her an odd look, which was interrupted as Alluka ran into the aisle the two were in, carrying a bag of gummy bears above her head with a goofy smile, Leorio not far behind. She stopped before Usagi.

"Onee-chan, can we get these?" Alluka asked, her face lit up and hopeful.

Usagi smiled at the girl before petting her head. "Sure thing, kiddo."

Alluka was so happy about the gummy bears that it made everyone else happy with her.

Leorio clapped alongside the girl, sharing in her happiness as well.

"I swear, Leorio, you love playing with Alluka," Usagi noted, shoving her hands into the pockets of her new gray pullover (which was really Killua's, but it was hers now.)

"Well, I kind of want to be a doctor to help kids her age," Leorio stated, only mildly embarrassed.

"You're too pure for this world," Usagi stated, a crooked smile on her lips.

Killua rolled his eyes. "I can't tell if you hate or enjoy this guy."

"Hey, we're all best friends here!" Usagi let out, shrugging. "I'm just a bit of a b-" she cut herself off, pursing her lips, "idiot."

Killua patted her shoulder as they walked forward. "You're getting there."

Once back at the house, Usagi immediately tore into the Doritos before the bag was snatched from her hands by Leorio.

"Hey! That's my child!" Usagi argued, watching him roll up the bag and put it on a high shelf she'd have no hope of reaching.

"You need to eat healthier foods, Usagi," Leorio protested.

"Perks of living with a doctor," Killua stated, leaning over the counter.

Usagi snorted before walking into the living area and sitting on the couch, eyeing the tv before her as Killua stood up to walk over and sit beside her.

"I wasn't kidding about hanging out at some point," Killua mentioned, his voice a little quiet.

"'Hanging out' huh? Is that what the kids call it?" Usagi joked, poking his shoulder.

"Ha ha," Killua let out dramatically. "I was thinking we could get a smoothie or something and then come back here to watch a movie. I don't know about you, but I don't feel like being around a lot of people," Killua suggested.

"Dude, you know I have the social skills of an avocado. I like the idea of just staying here, except to get food. I make an exception for food," Usagi agreed, holding out a finger as she explained her food policies.

"Well, I'm glad you agree," he admitted, before speaking in a tone so serious it was funny, "Are you free tomorrow?"

"No, I'm going to raid a chicken nugget emporium." She paused to make eye contact before smiling like an idiot. "Yeah, I'm free."

"That's good," he said, smiling loosely at her.

A few hours later yet right before sundown, Usagi said she wanted to go for a walk outside. Killua offered to go with her, but she insisted to go alone.
