{3} It Worked

3rd Person POV

Stiles and Kyra both left early after the whole incident. 

Now, they were in Stiles's jeep heading to Derek's house. 

Kyra asked, "So what did Scott say specifically?" 

"He said that he wanted us to meet him at Derek's house." Stiles replied holding onto Kyra's hand as he was driving 

"Why?" Kyra asked as Stiles parked the jeep

"You'll find out." Stiles said as they both got out of the jeep walking in front of Derek's house. 

We walked in and saw Isaac on the table but no Kyla. 

Kyra looked at Scott and asked, "Kyla?" 

Scott shook his head then Kyra sighed. 

Kyra asked, "Why are we here again?" 

Scott replied, "Derek is helping me with my tattoo." 

"Tattoo? You want a tattoo." Kyra asked then Scott nodded his head in reply 

Kyra crossed her arms saying, "You know, you could've just asked me. I have a tattoo, which didn't involved Derek's help." 

"You have a tattoo?" Stiles asked then Kyra sighed then took off her jacket and left it on the table. 

She was about to take off her shirt until Stiles stepped in front of her saying, "What are you doing?" 

"Showing my tattoo." Kyra replied looking up at Stiles. 

Stiles asked, "Is it really necessary to take off your shirt?" 

"Yea, that's how you would see it, Stiles." Kyra replied then pushed Stiles to the side saying, "Scott, is this what you want?" 

Scott nodded his head in reply and said, "That's what I want." 

Kyra sighed then asked, "Why do you want a tattoo? There's always a reason." 

Scott asked, "What do you mean?" 

"Why two bands?" Kyra asked then Scott asked, "How did you know that I wanted two bands?" 

"Because I used my eyes." Kyra replied then asked, "What does it mean?" 

Scott shrugged and said, "I don't know. It's just something I like to trace with my fingers." 

He traced his fingers on the table then Derek asked, "Why is this so important to you?" 

Scott asked, "Do you know what the word tattoo means?" 

Stiles replied as he walked to the other side looking at Kyra, "It means to mark something." 

Scott added, "That's in tahitian. In samoan, it means opened wound." 

"Did you really have to do your research on what a tattoo means in different languages?" Kyra asked then Scott continued, "I knew, I wanted to get a tattoo when I turned 18. But, I decided to get it now, kind of like a reward." 

"For what?" Derek asked as Stiles looked at Kyra looking at Scott. 

Scott replied not looking at any of them, "For not calling or texting Allison all summer. When I really wanted to, or when it was so hard not to sometimes. I'm just giving her the space she wants. 4 months later, it still hurts. It still feels like..."

Kyra and Stiles said at the same time, "Like an opened wound."

Stiles and Kyra made eye contact then Derek turned his head looking at both Stiles and Kyra as he heard their heartbeats beating at the same pace but fast.
