{45} Be Careful Who You Trust

3rd Person POV

Flashback:

Getting back to Bulgaria, Kyra hops off of the horse then goes to Roza

She asked her, "Roza, what's really going on?"

Roza replied, "The original plan was to draw him out. And you did that. The thing was we didn't know that they were going to perform a human sacrifice on his choosing."

"You thought he was going to choose me?" Kyra asked

Roza responded, "I thought he was going to do it right on the spot, and that the blood was going to be too much."

Mira added, "We couldn't let that happen. We were outnumbered by werewolves."

Cole came into his true form saying, "Your welcome, by the way."

"You brought Kyra into this?" Cole asked Roza and Mira

"It was my idea." Mira said to Cole. "I was the one who convinced Roza."

"Besides, Cole, you have no idea what power that Kyra has. She's strong and clever, okay? She knows what she's doing." Roza responded to him

Cole looks at Kyra and said to them, "Doesn't matter. I'm not letting my daughter risk her life for the two of you."

Cole walks away then Kyra walks up to her dad saying, "Dad, I'm going to be fine. I'm well trained and I'm a fast learner. You know that by now."

"Kyra, there's so much more that you don't know about. You're all I have left. I've lost your mother and your sister. I'm not losing you too." Cole said to her

Looking at her dad, Kyra replies, "Dad, you're not going to lose me, okay? I'm not like mom and Kyla."

Cole gives her a kiss on the forehead then walks away from her

Kyra sighed then Roza goes to her saying, "Your father is like that."

Kyra looks at her and asked, "What do you mean?"

"He tends to shut people out. He believes the fact that showing emotion to someone weakens you." Roza pointed out

Roza said to her, "I'm sorry, Kyra. I didn't tell you."

"Next time, tell me. Like right away. Something could've happened to me." Kyra said to her

Roza nodded her head then continued, "You were really good out there, Kyra. I'm impressed. Ms. Marielle Clark."

"Thanks, Roza. I'm going to sleep now. It's been a long night." Kyra said then hugs her saying, "I forgive you, okay? Good night, Roza."

"Good night." Roza said as she hugged back
