{11} Here We Go

3rd Person POV

Looking out of the city from Scott's point of view, Chris asked Derek, "When was the last time you saw your sister?"

Derek replied, "9 years. I thought she died in the fire."

"Do you feel like you have a lock on her scent?" Chris asked then Derek shook his head

Chris asked Scott, "Scott, how confident are you in your skills?"

Scott sighed then replied, "Honestly, most of the time, I'm not thinking about the things that I can smell."

Chris asked, "Where's Kyra?"

"Kyra is tracking Kyla." Derek replied then Chris asked, "On her own?"

"Yea, she's trained that way, I guess." Scott replied

Chris asked, "Isaac, when was that last time you saw Kyla?"

Isaac replied looking at the yellow ring on his ring finger that she used to wear, "Back at the vault. We were supposed to go on a date for our one year anniversary, but instead she wanted to do what she thought was right. I lost her, back at that vault. I left her behind."

Chris asked, "Do you think you got a lock on her scent?"

Isaac nodded then Chris said, "Once they all get out the woods, they hit the residential area, right in the center of Beacon Hills."

Isaac looked up at them and said, "They are not going to kill anything they see, right?"

"No, but there is an important difference to recognize. Wolves hunt for food to a certain point when they become full. Kyla, Boyd, and Cora are hunting for the pleasure to kill. There's some apex predator that gives them the satisfactory of the kill."

"We can't kill them." Scott said then Derek replied, "We can't catch them."

"Maybe we just need to contain them." Chris replied then continued, "There's no one at the school, at night, is there?"

Derek replied, "You want to trap them inside?"

Chris said, "Something with a stronger door, no windows or access to the outside world."

Isaac suggested, "What about the boiler room? It's just one big steel door."

"Are you sure the school's empty?" Chris asked then Scott replied, "It has to be. There's no one in the school, this late."

Chris went to the back of his car opening up the trunk, he placed a sonic emitter on the ground telling them, "These are sonic emitters, it's one of the tools that we use to corral werewolves and vampires to put them in the direction where we want them to run. It's on a high-pitched frequency that you could hear."

"No kidding." Isaac said as himself, Scott, and Derek were covering their ears

Opening up the case, Chris handed the emitters to all three guys.

Scott asked, "You used these on vampires?"

"Kyra and her father weren't the only vampires in this town." Chris replied

Derek then asked, "These are going to lead them to the school?"

Chris responded, "And it's up to you to lead them to the basement."

Isaac replied, "Does anyone want to rethink this plan and just kill Boyd and Cora?"

"What about Kyla?" Derek asked then Isaac replied, "I'm not killing my girlfriend."

Derek and Isaac started bickering then Scott said, "Enough. It's going to work, alright? It's going to work."

Carrying two sonic emitters each, all three boys threw and placed them leading to the school.
