{9} Did You Miss Me?

3rd Person POV

Derek, Kyra, and Scott were in the back of the national bank.

Scott had a look that made Kyra and Derek look at each other with confusion.

Derek and Kyra said at the same time, "What?"

"There's just something, I can't get out of my head." Scott said making Kyra roll her eyes then saying, "What is it, Scott? We don't have time. The moon is rising."

Scott replied, "Risk and Reward."

"Which is what?" Derek asked then Scott replied, "We're not measuring the risk with enough information. We don't know enough."

"We know that time is running out." Derek said then Scott said, "Think about it. They put them in there four months ago. What have they've been doing all this time? Why wait until now?"

Derek replied, "We don't have time to find out every single detail."

"What if this detail? The reason why they waited, it's the important one." Scott said

Derek responded, "Then we wait. Boyd and Erica are dead. I know what I'm risking, my life for theirs."

"I know what I'm risking, Scott. I need to do something for Kyla's sake." Kyra said then jumped on top of the garbage can then jumped to the wall to the ladder.

Derek then followed the same motion with Kyra leading the way.

"We won't blame you if you don't follow us." Kyra said looking at Scott then started to climb up the ladder into the shaft where they ended up in the wall where the vault was.

Scott made the same motion after them then Kyra started to punch the wall

Derek said whispering, "You gotta get angry."

"No kidding." Kyra replied as she started to punch the wall harder then said, "Derek, you and I got to punch the wall at the same time. Alpha's and a vampire's strength has a stronger force."

Derek nodded then Kyra counted up to three as they both punched the wall at the same time as the wall started to open up with a hole.

The bricks landed on the ground then Derek came out then Kyra then Scott.

Derek called out as Kyra walked next to Derek on his right side with Scott on his left side, "Boyd."

Boyd came out with his claws out, Derek said, "Boyd. It's me, it's Derek."

Scott answered his phone as he saw the contact information which was Stiles.

Scott said through the phone, "Stiles, now it's not the right time."

"Scott! Scott! Scott, one tell Kyra to answer her phone. And you gotta listen and get out of there, now." Stiles said then Kyra said, "My phone is off, sorry."

Stiles said, "The walls of the vault contain the mineral called the Hecatolite, it scatters the moonlight."

"What does that mean?" Kyra asked Scott

"We're here to get you out." Derek said making Kyra turn back facing Boyd

Stiles said through the phone, "It keeps the moonlight out. They haven't had the full moon in months."

Peter added, "Think of it like the gladiators in the roman colosseum, they used to starve the lions for three days to make them more vicious and out of control. Deucalion has kept them from shifting for three full moons diminishing their tolerance."

Stiles added, "Scott, they're going to be stronger."

"More savage, more blood-thirsty. Scott, they're the lions, they are the starved lions and you, Kyra, and Derek, are left there in the colosseum." Peter said through the phone then Scott said as Derek and Kyra turned their heads facing Scott, "Derek, Kyra, we got a problem, big problem."
