"The impossibilities are endless..."
I started my new sketchbook with Doctor Strange VS DC's Enchantress...
...and now I end it with the Sorcerer Supreme looking over a cataclysmic earth.
With the only modification being Strange looking over an earth bent out of shape Inception-style, I tried to copy this poster:
My main focus was the buildings, detail, and shapes. It was so hard to resist the urge to leave the space that fades out into the planet at the top left blank and call it done. So I went in with shapes and somethings even quick scribbling to fill that space with the silhouettes of buildings and greenery.
I had a lot of fun with this. Don't know how long it took in total, as that was split into three time segments of drawing and listening to the Presidential Debate.
DOCTOR STRANGE FOR PRESIDENT.
Even though the country would begin to turn a little Strange, I bet he'd do better than Clinton. Or Trump. Or both of them combined.HE'S SORCERER SUPREME GOSHDARNIT.
As cool as it would look, I don't think I'll be coloring this digitally any time soon. There are areas I would have no idea what to do with, such as the water and the area that fades out, getting smaller and smaller as it gets closer to the horizon.
I might get a friend to do it digitally (as I like to leave my canvases as simply penciled pages), but I don't think that'll happen.
Please share your opinions! If you are a fellow artist who happens to be an expert at super small buildings fading into horizon-lines, PLEASE critique and give out pointers. And also water. I need to work on water. And maybe rocks while you're at it too...
Peace out. 🖖🏽 (#KhanIsStrange)
