Your POV

"Bye, Mum!"

I step outside the door and into the snow. It feels so strange to be going back.

I look at the bus stop and see him.

"Phil!" He turns and looks at me. A huge smile forms on his face. I run over and wrap my arms around him, hugging him tight. "Happy birthday, my little lion."

We stand there in each other's arms for a while. Phil pulls back slightly and presses his warm lips on my forehead. "I'm so glad I can finally spend the whole day with you." He presses his forehead against mine and stares into my eyes.

"I am, too. Even if I have to go through hell for six hours for most of it, at least it's with my best friend." Just then, we hear the engine of the bus and let go. I feel my cheeks heat up.

The bus pulls up and Phil gestures me to go first. I smile and make my way onto the bus.

As I walk down the aisle, I expect to hear the familiar sound of, "Hey, babe," and see Jake smiling "seductively" up at me. Thankfully, that's over.

I take a seat and grin as Phil sits down next to me. I look around the bus and Phil gives me a questioning look.

"Is there something wrong?" I look into his blue eyes and smile.

"I'm just making sure."

He furrows his eyebrows. "Making sure of what?"

"That there's no new kids."

~Time skip~

"Hey, Phil?"

"Yes?" He turns and looks at me.

"Can we go to the park for a little bit? Just for a walk? Then we can go to your house."

"Okay, sure. Lets just drop our bags off first-"

"No!" I cut him off. "Um, no, let's just go now. Our bags aren't that much of a problem, are they?" I laugh nervously. He looks at me strangely. Great, Y/N. You're definitely not hiding a surprise party at all!

Instead of arguing about it, he starts walking in the direction in the park, pulling me along.

When we get to the park, I smirk and push him into the snow. "Last one to the tree has to let the other draw on their face!" I bolt into the direction of the tree.

"Hey! No fair!" I cackle and continue running. I get to the tree and turn around.

"Haha! I win!" I shout as I do a victory dance. Suddenly, something runs into me, knocking me to the ground. I look up to see Phil on top of me.

"Pinned ya!" I giggle at his Lion King reference and grab a handful of snow and smack it in his face.

I burst into laughter. "Not this again!" He sulks. I remember the night of the bubble fight and how the situation we're in was so much like that.

Phil climbs off me and looks up at the tree. "It's been so long since we've climbed this tree." I nod in agreement. "Want to do it again?" I look over at him and smile at his big cheeky grin. I drop my school bag and begin to climb. We keep climbing until we get to our favourite branch. We sit down, our legs dangling and our hands holding on to the branch tight to balance ourselves.

I stare at the snow covered ground and smile. I love being up high. It makes me feel on top of the world.

"I missed this." I look over at Phil whose icy-blue eyes are already on me.
