Phil's POV

"Come on, Phil! We're all waiting for you!" Y/N calls out to me from outside the tent.

"You know I don't like sports," I whine.

"None of us do."

"Then why are we playing football... for fun?"

Y/N sticks her head in the tent as I tie my laces. "To try new things," she grins. "Trust me, it'll be fun. Mostly because none of us know how to play." I laugh as I pull the final knot in my laces and stand up. Well, crouch.

"This tent is too small," I groan as I exit the tent.

"You're too tall," Y/N smirks. "And why are you complaining? Do you know what kind of things other guys would do to be in your position right now?"

"Standing in an empty field with trees surrounding it, making it impossible to know what could be lurking around us? Why would a guy like to be in literally the scene of a horror movie?"

Y/N hits my arm. "No, silly! To share a small tent with a girl." I blush.

"Ha, why would any guy want to be in such a small space with you," I joke. Y/N frowns and nods her head.

"You're right," she mumbles. "Why would any one want to be with an ugly mob like me." I open my mouth to apologize, to say it's just a joke, to say she's wrong, but she runs off to the others, leaving me staring at her. My heart sinks. Nice one, Phil.

Once I catch up to the others, I notice Kat giving me a death glare. We make eye contact and I feel myself shrinking.

'Ill talk to you later,' she mouths just as Kyle speaks up.

"Okay, so. Time to sort the teams. All I know about football is that there's a goalie at each goal and everyone else has to kick the ball into the goal without the goalie catching it. Oh, and no hands. I think that's it. Now, teams."

We're all put into teams. I'm on a team with Kat, Kyle and some of the others, and Y/N is on a team with the rest, including Alan.

"Phil can't kick a ball, so I think he should be goalie," my friend, Kate, says.

"Doesn't the other team have a bit of an advantage? I mean, they have Alan and Dave on their team, and they're really good," I say.

"I can stop a guy from having kids if they piss me off, I'm pretty sure I can kick a football just as good," Kat replies, glaring at me.

"Great!" Kyle beams. "Let's start, then."

We all get into position and wait for the game to start. I find myself staring at Y/N. Her eyes are red and puffy. I feel guilty.

"I'm so sorry Y/N," I whisper. Then the game begins.

~Time skip~

We've been playing for about half an hour now. So far, Y/N's team is winning. Although I'm quite okay at goalie, turns out Y/N can kick really well and scores most of the goals.

I often find myself distracted by her, which annoys my team mates.

And now, I watch her, talking to Dave and smiling for the first time since I made her cry. As a smile grows on my face, I hear Kat shout my name. Before I have time to react, a sharp pain shoots through my nose. The sudden and unexpected impact makes me fall back, landing on my back.

"Shit! Phil, are you okay?" I open my eyes to see Y/N's E/C eyes inspecting my nose.

"Yeah, I'm fine," I say but she doesn't listen.
