Your POV
There's not one silence between Phil and I during lunch. There never is. We see each other every day, yet we always have so much to talk about. It's nice.
We're in the middle of talking about a film he and a few of our friends made a few years ago. As I wasn't someone that really liked being filmed or have my picture for that matter, I filmed it.
Suddenly, Phil brought something up that I wasn't expecting this early in our lives...
"Y/N, even when we're older, do you think we will still be this close?"
"Of course, Phil! Why are you asking, anyway? We still have a few years of school left."
He looks down at the ground, and for once, there's a silence. It lasts for about a minute, then he speaks up.
"I just never want to live without you. And who knows how you'll live without me." I chuckle a bit and he continues. "So we need to stick together. Or at least try."
I smile. He's so adorable. I stick out my hand and say, "It's a deal." And we shake hands.
We both burst out laughing. We never really take anything seriously. The bell then goes, and we walk to our next class.
~Time skip~
The ride home on the bus is just as interesting as any other ride home with Phil. We chat with our friends. They "aww" and say how much we should be together when ever we do something they consider "cute", which makes us bow our heads blushing.
We get to our stop and quickly get off, beginning the race. Me being faster than Phil, I get to my front door first and unlock the door, walking in. Phil soon catches up and follows.
We walk up the stairs to my room. As Phil finds a spot on the floor and gets his homework out of his bag, I walk over to the stereo and put in "Origin of Symmetry". I take a spot on the floor next to Phil, and together we do our homework and listen to Muse.
~One hour later~
"Let's watch something before I go." I nod at Phil's idea and he looks through my DVD collection. Normally we would just play video games until his mum comes over after ringing many times asking him to come home.
And of course, he chooses Buffy. Classic Phil. We climb into my bed and begin to watch Sarah Michelle Gellar slay vampires.
As we do, we interlock hands. It's nothing romantic, sadly. It's just a friendly thing Phil and I do. Nothing more.
Being tired and exhausted from a big day at school, I yawn and slowly drift off to sleep.
Kat's POV
Neither Phil or Y/N were on MSN now, which was strange because they're normally always on at this time. So I decide to go pay them a visit.
I check Phil's house first and his mum says he's probably still over at Y/N's. She told me to ask him to come home because he won't answer his phone.
I walk over next door and knock. Y/N's mum answers.
"Hello, Mrs L/N. Do you know where Phil and Y/N are?"
She smiles. "Knowing those two they're probably upstairs having an intense Mario Kart session."
I say thank you and walk upstairs. I get to Y/N's room and knock. No answer. I open the door and step inside.
The TV is on and Buffy is playing. And on Y/N's bed is the cutest thing I'll ever see. Phil and Y/N, snuggled up close and asleep. I don't want to wake them, but I have to. Phil's mum wants him home.
"Wake up, lovebirds!" I yell and jump on the bed. They shoot awake and quickly let go of each other. Y/N blushes and Phil gives me a dark glare.
Oh, I can tell he was enjoying that!
Phil's POV
"What are you doing here, Kat?" I say, a little harsh. It seems obvious that I was enjoying my cuddle session with Y/N, as Kat smirks.
"None of you were on MSN, I was lonely and had nobody to talk to. Your mum wants you home, by the way." I huff and get out of bed. I quickly hug Y/N and wave Kat goodbye and leave.
I walk into the house, ready to be scolded. And here it comes. Mum walks over to me, looking slightly angry and worried.
"Where have you been? Why didn't you pick up your phone? You know you should be home by six thirty! And what's the time now, Philip? It's twenty past seven!"
I roll my eyes and begin to explain. "I was at Y/N's and we fell asleep watching Buffy! I'm fine mum!"
She sighs. Although she's a nice woman, she can be a bit protective at times. "Okay. Dinner is ready."
I trudge into the dining room, earning stares from the rest of my family. I want to be back with Y/N. I want her back in my arms.
Your POV
When Phil leaves, Kat gives me a questioning look. Sometimes I really regret telling her about my feelings for Phil.
"So, you guys are together now?" She smirks and wriggles her eyebrows.
I shake my head. "It wasn't like that! We were watching Buffy and fell asleep! I don't recall being in that position before I did, all I remember was holding hands!" She smirks even more.
"Holding hands, you say? You guys do that a lot, you know." I blush.
"It's only friendly. Phil doesn't love me the way I love him."
She looks as if she's going to tell me something but shrugs it off. Instead she says, "Whatever your mum is cooking smells delicious. Mind if I stay a while?"
I nod. It's always great having Kat over.
Later that night, after Kat leaves and I'm in bed thinking about life, my mind goes back to what Phil made me promise earlier. That no matter what we will stick together.
And I start to think of the negatives. What if we have a major fight and won't ever be able to fix our friendship? What if one of us is whisked away to a far away place, like America or Australia? What if we fall in love with someone and forget about each other? I begin to cry. I don't want to think about losing Phil but I can't take my mind off it.
I love him with all my heart. And I don't want to lose him.
