Your POV
I raise my hand and bash it against the Lester's front door.
"I'll get it!" I hear my best friend call. I hear his hurried footsteps and the sound of a turning doorknob. "Hey, Y/N."
"Hello, Phil. Are you ready?" I smile.
"Yes, I am. I'm guessing you are?" I nod and gesture to my packed camper bag and guitar case. "Good." From behind me, I hear the beep of a car and turn to see a colourful van. Yeah, a hippie van. The passenger door opens and out comes Kat.
"There's the lovebirds," I blush. "You two ready?" Phil shouts goodbye to his family, picks up his own bag and the two of us walk over to the van and hop in the back. In the back are a few of our other school friends.
I take a seat across from one of our friends, Kyle, and Phil sits in the empty spot next to me.
"Did you bring your guitar, Y/N/N (your nickname)?" Kat's brother, Alan, calls from the driver's seat.
"Sure did!" I reply, taking my guitar out of it's case.
"Well, then, sing us a song! I think it's unfair that it's only Phil who gets to hear you perform," Kat turns around and smirks at me.
"All right, then," I start strumming the strings.
"Somebody once told me the world is gonna roll me,
I ain't the sharpest tool in the shed.
She was looking kinda dumb with her finger and her thumb,
In the shape of an L on her forehead..."
~Time skip~
"The tent is ready!" Kyle calls out to us. I stand with Phil, and the two of us pick up our bags and walk towards the tent.
We're almost there, when Kat runs over to us, waving her arms and shaking her head.
"Kat, what's wrong?" I ask, my eyebrows furrowing.
"Oh, nothing. It's just... there's no more room in this tent," she smiles and, I swear, winks at Phil.
Phil's POV
Oh no. Kat!
"Ok, then. What about Phil and I?" Y/N asks, oblivious to Kat's plan.
"Don't worry, I brought an extra tent for the two of you. Would you like me to set it up for you?" Kat says with a cheeky grin.
"Uhh, sure. Would you like me to help?" Y/N offers.
"No, you just go sit with the others. Won't be long," she walks to the van to get the other tent.
"I'm, uh, going to go help Kat," I look down at Y/N, who nods. As she walks away, I follow Kat.
"Is here good enough for you two?" She turns to me and raises her eyebrows.
"Kat, what are you doing?" I grumble.
"Don't you love Y/N?"
"Yes, of course I do. But- I don't want her to feel like... like... I'm trying to..."
"To what?" Kat cuts me off. "Get it on with her?"
"Yes!" I shout, alarming the others. I wave, awkwardly, and turn my attention to Kat.
"How?" She says, trying to act innocent.
"Well, it's the two of us, alone in a tent, which is far away from everyone else and..." I examine the tent. "It's that small?!" Kat shakes her head.
