Your POV

"Mum, I'm fine. Can I please go to school?" I look at her, putting on the best puppy eyes I can.

"No, Y/N. It's best for you to stay home. People don't need to see you like this." I groan. "Why do you want to go anyway? What did you say last week? That school was only an excuse to be sent to a mental hospital before having children?" She laughs.

"I don't want to miss anything. I have a really tough maths test on Friday that I need to study for." Lies.

There's only one reason I want to go.

To see Phil. And can you blame me? I just got the most adorable ray of sunshine back in my life and now I have to wait until after school to be with him again.

And as if reading my mind, Mum rolls her eyes and says, "Go get some rest, Y/N. You can see Phil later." Sighing, I turn and walk upstairs towards my room.

Okay, time to see what I can do today.

I look around and it's obvious what I need to do first.

CLEAN MY ROOM!

I turn my CD player on and put in Green Day and get cleaning.

~Time skip~

"Knock, knock!" I put down my guitar, my heart racing.

"Come in!" The door opens and in walks Phil. I smile widely, earning a smile back from my little lion.

"Please, continue. I've heard you sing before," he says as he walks over and sits next to me on the end of my bed. I look back down at my guitar. It's been so long since I've played in front of someone. The last time I did was that day Phil and I truced, even if I never knew he was listening.

I pick up the guitar and start strumming.

(song above ;))

"You could be my unintended,

Choice to live my life extended,

You could be the one I'll always love"

As I sing, Phil sits there and listens. There's no interruptions. He hasn't dosed off. He's actually paying attention.

I get to the end of the song and strum the last chords. As I do, Phil applauds. "Still an amazing musician. Still a beautiful singer. And you still have a great taste in music."

I laugh at him noting down everything that hasn't changed. Luckily, he doesn't know what has...

"Do you still have a good taste in movies though?" Phil questions, interrupting me from my thoughts.

I raise an eyebrow. "Like the Lion King?" I smirk.

Suddenly, he jumps up and hugs me. "Thank God, you're still my Y/N."

I hug back and smile. "And you're still my Phil," I whisper.

He releases me and smiles. "Well then, shall we watch the Lion King to celebrate?"

Grinning, I grab the bell beside my bed. It wasn't my idea. I didn't want it. But Mum insisted that I needed it. And I'm too lazy to stand right now. I ring it and, as if she's been waiting right by my bedroom door, she sticks her head through the door.

"How long have you been there?" I ask.

"Not long," she pauses for a little while. "Maybe since Phil got here. I'll go get you some popcorn and drinks." And with that, she rushes off.

Phil and I sit on my bed for a while, staring at the now empty doorway, stunned. I turn and look at him and we both start laughing.

"So that," Phil chuckles, "is why you're such a weirdo."

"And that is why you're a weirdo, too, fish boy." Phil stops laughing and glares at me.

"Do not bring in my weird childhood!" He tries to look serious, causing me to laugh harder.

"Sorry, Phil, but that's what happens when you spend a lot of time in this house. You decide to become 'Flat Phil' who visits the shadow realm and has an obsession over metallic green envelopes."

Phil playfully shoves me. But because it's unexpected and I'm laughing way too hard, I fall off the bed, still laughing.

Phil starts to panic a little. "Y/N! I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to shove you that hard!"

He reaches out a hand and I grab it, letting him pull me up. "Calm down, Phil. You're such a drama queen." I ruffle his hair.

"Glad to see you're getting along again." We turn to the doorway where, *gasp* you won't believe it, Mum stands with a large bowl of popcorn, soda and cups.

"Mum," I glare at her.

"I only saw you fall off the bed!" She walks in and places everything on my bed. Phil and I don't take our eyes off her. She reaches the door.

"Mum, go." Nodding, she walks out the door. I roll my eyes. "Away from my door."

"How did you know I was here?" She shakes her head and we watch her as she walks down the stairs, hopefully not coming back.

"Well, then," Phil starts. "Let's watch this movie and hope that she doesn't bring my mum over, too." I giggle.

Phil gets up and looks through my movie collection, pulling out the Lion King and putting it on.

He joins me on the bed and we sit back and watch it. Just like old times, I rest my head on his chest and he puts his long arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer.

"You know," he whispers, "out of all the things I missed, I think I missed this the most."
