Phil's POV

I awake to the soft sound of a piano playing the familiar tune of 'Can You Feel the Love Tonight?'

I look beside me to see emptiness. I look in the direction of the sound and there Y/N sits, playing her piano.

I sit in the bed and watch her. How did I manage to ever befriend such an amazing, talented and beautiful girl?

She plays the last few keys and I feel my heart sink. If I could, I'd listen to her play or sing every second of everyday.

"Can you keep playing, please?" She jumps and turns around. Oops. Did I actually say that out loud?

She shoots me a cheeky grin and says, "As you wish." I lay back on her bed, listening to her play the comforting tune.

"Aren't you going to sing?"

She stops playing. "You never asked."

"May you please sing to me?" I plead.

"Of course, Philip. Anything for my little lion." I blush and she begins to play again.

"There's a calm surrender to the rush of day,

When the heat of a rolling world can be turned away,

An enchanted moment, and it sees me through

It's enough for this restless warrior just to be with you."

I can't help singing the chorus with her.

"And can you feel the love tonight,

It is where we are,

It's enough for this wide eyed wanderer,

That we got this far,

And can you feel the love tonight,

How it's laid to rest,

It's enough to make kings and vagabonds,

Believe the very best."

She stops and turns around, shocked. "Damn, Phil. Looks like I'm not the only singer here."

I roll my eyes. "Oh, hush."

Knock knock.

We turn to see Y/N's mum sticking her head through the wall.

"Dinner is ready. And I told your mum that you'll be staying here for dinner, Phil."

I nod. Before we go down, I pick my phone up and check my messages.

Kat :)- How are things going with Y/N? ;)

Phil- Good.

Kat :)- So I'm still bringing the spare tent? ;)

I roll my eyes but then freeze. I forgot to ask Y/N about the trip!

"Hey, Y/N?"

"Yes, Philip?"

"Would you like to go camping with me?"

"Just you?" Her eyes seem to fill with hope, but maybe I'm imagining it. Then again, Kat did say she loved me too.

But because it's me, I begin to panic. "No! Of course it's not just me. Kat will be there, and some other friends."

"Oh," she frowns a little. "Okay."

I smile. "Great. It's in March so you have plenty of time to pack." Why?

We're interrupted by her mum again. "Finally, a reason to get you out of the house. And I told you, dinner is ready."

I look over at Y/N who rolls her eyes and stands up. "Let's go, Philip."

I stand and follow her downstairs into the dining room. She sits down and I take a seat next to her. As we eat our home cooked pizza, Y/N and I play footsies under the table. It reminds me of the night we became best friends.

After dinner, the two of us volunteer to wash up.

"Hey, Phil?" I turn around.

"Yeah-" I'm cut off by bubbles being blown into my face, followed by Y/N's laughter. I wipe the bubbles off and glare at her.

I grab my own handful of bubbles. "Hey, Y/N?" She turns and I blow them into her face, just as she did to me. She freezes in disbelief and wipes her face, smirking evilly at me.

"Oh, it's on." Then it's a giant bubble war.

I'm chasing her around the soaking wet room, bubbles in hand. I'm about to grab her but slip on a puddle and fall. Right on top of Y/N.

Immediately, I roll off her. "Oh my gosh! Y/N, I'm sorry!" I hear crying sounds. I sit up and roll her over and she starts to laugh. Before I can say anything she smacks a handful of bubbles in my face, causing her to laugh harder. Remembering my own bubbles, I smear them in her face, laughing like a maniac.

"Phil, your mum wants you home- what on earth happened in here?" The two of us stop laughing and turn to look at the doorway where Y/N's dad stands.

I quickly stand up and look down at my shuffling feet. "We had a bubble fight," I mutter.

"Without me?" I look up at him as Y/N bursts into laughter. "Better clean this up then head home."

Nodding, I turn to Y/N and reach my hand out to her. She grabs it and I pull her up. Once the kitchen (and us) are clear of bubbles, I turn to Y/N.

"Well, m'lady, I better get home."

"But I want you to stay," she pouts. I walk over and wrap my arms around her.

"I'll see you tomorrow." She pulls away and her eyes light up. But then she shakes her head.

"I have to do stuff tomorrow," she frowns.

"I can help."

"No!" She almost shouts. "No, I have to do it alone. It's important." I look at her suspiciously and frown.

"Okay, then. I'll see you whenever I see you." She nods and hugs me again. When we pull away, she stands on her tiptoes and pecks my cheek, making me blush.

I turn and walk outside. I stand outside her front door for a few minutes, shivering in the cold air. What could Y/N be doing that I can't know? Could she have found someone else already and want to spend the day with them?

I shrug it off. It's probably nothing, Phil. Calm down.
