The signs start showing part 2

(A/n: Before we start, I want to let you all know that you (the reader) is a third year. So you are 17 the same age as Naru, 2 years younger than John. I should have made this more clear when the story started. Also, the second opening to the song is the most amazing opening I have seen. I'll leave the opening up at the top for you guys to listen to.)

~(y/n) pov~

Tuesday morning. Waking up to the annoying sound of my alarm.

Doing the same thing that I do every morning. I get ready and go downstairs to get my (b/f), and I sit down at my table.

'Should I skip school and go to the schoolhouse, or should I go to school and go to the schoolhouse where the others are when it is break (Recess).' I thought.

Looking at my phone for the time, I see that it has just gone past seven o'clock. "Dang it. I'm going to be late. I need to leave now." I said to myself, and I got up from the table and picked up my bag and walkout of the house, locking the front door.

~time skip to in front of the schoolhouse.~

I am just about to walk past the schoolhouse when I notice John, Ayako, and Naru, and for some reason, Mai was there.

I walk over to Mai and tap her on her shoulder. "Hey Mai, what are you doing here, we have classes to get to in about twenty minutes." I said, and Mai turned around and smiled at me. "I'm not going to school today." She said.

I looked at her with the "you have to be kidding me" look. "Mai, we should be going to school. You can come back at break (Recess) and hang around and try and help them with what they are doing. Mai, we need to go." I said, turning on my heal and walking away while smiling at John and Ayako while I was leaving.

~Mai's pov~

I watched as (y/n) walked off. I looked at the others, and I noticed Naru looking a little amused. I then notice John looking at the leaving form of (y/n).

I sighed and started walking towards school after I picked up my bag from next to the van. "Well, I'll see you all after school." I said, walking away from the others.
"Don't be late." Said Naru.
"I won't. I'll bring (y/n) with me as well." I replied. I then heard the warning bell ring.

I started running towards the school, and I went up to my classes.

~time skip to the end of the school day~

I walked out of my class and walked over to (y/n)'s class and waited outside. When she came out, we both walked together to the schoolhouse, but we walked in silence. It wasn't an awkward silence it was a calm sought of silence.

~(y/n) pov~

When I walked out of my class, I saw Mai waiting outside. I nodded to her, and we started walking to the schoolhouse together.

We walked in silence it was a nice kind of silence thought. It wasn't awkward or anything. It was quite calming.

We got to the entrance of the school building, and we walked in and into where the base was set up. "Hey guys. I hope we aren't late, Naru." Mai said, walking up to Naru.

I looked around and saw the spot where I was leaning the other day free. I walk over and lean on the wall. "No, you're on time. For a change." I giggle a little because of the sarcasm that is laced in his voice.

~John's pov~

I saw (y/n) and Mai walk in and (y/n) went and leant up against the wall she was leaning by the other day. I was thinking of going over to her and sitting or standing next to her like last time, but Monk and Ayako are starting to think there is something going on between us. "No, you're on time. For a change." Said Naru.

I heard the sarcasm lacing his voice. I then heard (y/n) giggle. Obviously, she heard the sarcasm in his voice as well. "What do we plan on doing today then." Said Ayako.
"Monk, could you try and exercise the spirit." Said Mai.
"Yes, I can. Maybe I will do better than Ayako did." Said Monk.
"Let's see what you can do then." Said Naru.

~time skip to Monk exercising the spirit~

Monk left the room and went to the second floor classroom where the chair moved. Monk started chanting, and nothing seemed to happen.

After a while of waiting, Monk left the room and came back to the base. "It has been cleansed." He said. (Y/n) looked up.
"We haven't heard what Naru thinks about all of this." She said. "So Naru, what do you think." (Y/n) continued. "The foundations are sinking. That is what is going on. The knocking the other day was because the wood was moving. The foundations have sunk about 3 inches overnight." Naru said. "Is that what you think it really is." Said (y/n) a little confused.

'This is the first time she showed being confused or annoyed. She did sound confused and annoyed this morning. She is also confused towards Kazuya.' I was pulled out by my thoughts when I saw the look on (y/n)'s face.

I then heard what sounded like lots of people walking around on the second floor. Suddenly, all the doors started opening and closing. I pulled (y/n) away from the door.

~(y/n) pov~

John pulled me away from the door because they were opening and closing. "Still think it is because of the foundations." Said Ayako.
"I don't know what it could be." Said Naru.
"Who cares what it can be right now. We need to get out of here." I said, showing clearly that I was scared for everyone's safety. Especially for John and Mai.
"Guys come this way." Monk said, kicking down the wall.

We all ran out of the room and out to the front. I looked over and saw Naru walk away. 'Where could he be going.' I thought. I then remembered John was still holding on to me after we left the schoolhouse. "Hey John, you can let go now." I said.
"Oh, right. Sorry (y/n)." John said, smiling at me.

I returned the smile, but you could say I was upset about the fact that John had let me go. I felt kind of safe when I was in his arms. 'What the hell. I don't even know him that well.' I thought, looking down a bit ashamed that I thought of that,
