The poltergeist in the schoolhouse

~(y/n) pov~

After setting up the equipment monk, John and Ayako decide to look around the place.

It wasn't long before they came back, and someone else turned up. "Who is that." Asked Mai.
"This is Masako Hara. She is a psychic." Replied Naru. "So we have two school girls, a psychic, an exorcist, a monk, and a shrine maiden." Said Ayako. I look from Ayako to the floor and walk backwards till my back is up against the wall.
"There is a ghost in here. I know it for sure." Said Koradah Kasai. I look over at her, surprised.
"Koradah, what are you doing here." I said. She looked at me and repeated what she had just said.
"There is a ghost here. I was just attacked by it." Everyone in the room looked at each other, shocked that she just got attacked.
"What floor were you on?" Naru asked.
"I was in the second floor hallway." Replied Koradah. Naru rewinded the tape on the second floor, but all we saw was Koradah walking towards the camera. Then the screen went fuzzy like the camera footage had been erased. Masako looked over at Koradah and said, "There are no ghosts here. I don't sense any."
"Well, you are wrong. I was just attacked by it. I would know I am a psychic." Replied Koradah.
"Stop looking for attention." Said Ayako.
"Hey, you don't have to be so mean to her." Shouted Mai. By this time, I have had enough, so I decided to go and look around the schoolhouse.

~John's pov~

Mai just shouted at Ayako for being mean to Koradah, but while Ayako and Mai were shouting at each other Koradah walked out, that was when I noticed (y/n) walk out of the room. I don't know where she is going so I decided to follow her only my leaving didn't go unnoticed "Hey John, where you going." Asked Monk.
"I'm just going out to get some air. See you later, mate." I replied, walking out. I start looking for (y/n) wondering where she could have gone.

I found her in the second floor hallway where her friend said where they were attacked. 'I wonder what she is doing.' I was pulled out of my thoughts by her looking at me.
"Is everything okay, John?" She asked with that calm voice of hers.
"I'm okay. I followed you because you left the room, and I wanted to know if you were okay." I reply.
"I'm fine. You could say I was getting annoyed with the argument that was going on. Also, I wanted to check out why the camera went blank."
"I see. Do you want me to stay with you just in case something happens." I ask her.
"Sure if you want to." She replies, smiling at me, which I return the smile.

I followed (y/n) into a classroom on the second floor, and we both looked around for a while.

Suddenly, we started to hear creaking coming from above, and we both looked up. (Y/n) looked over at me, and I shrugged. That was when (y/n) suddenly ran over to me and pulled me backwards, causing both of us to stumble and fall over.

We both got back up and turned around, and saw that part of the ceiling had collapsed. 'I'm glad (y/n) was here to pull me away, or else I'll be under that. We then hear a sudden scream coming from downstairs. I looked at (y/n), and she looked back at me before we both ran out of the room and down the stairs to where everyone was. "What is going on?" I asked a little shocked by the sudden scream.
"Ayako was walking around looking for you and (y/n). Ayako, move away from the door. I'm going to kick it down." Said monk.
"Where were you anyway?" Asked Mai.
"We were in the second floor hallway." Replied (y/n) in a calm voice. "Either she doesn't like showing her emotions, or maybe she doesn't get scared the easily. Or maybe I'm thinking too much into this,' I thought.

~Ayako's pov~

I noticed that (y/n) and John have gone somewhere. I look around the room, making sure that I haven't missed them when I look over. "Hey. I'm going to look for (y/n) and John." I said.
"Well, John said he was going out to get some air, but I didn't notice that (y/n) was gone. Maybe she went with John." Said monk.
"Maybe, but I'm going to look for them anyway." I said, walking out of the room. I looked outside, but I couldn't see them, so I went back inside and looked around the ground floor.

I got to one of the rooms down the hall, and I went in. Suddenly, the door slammed, so I screamed to get everyone's attention.

I heard someone running down the hall, and then I heard two sets of footsteps running down the stairs.
"What is going on?" Asked John. "Ayako was walking around looking for you and (y/n). Ayako, move away from the door. I'm going to kick it down." Said monk. So I moved away from the door so that monk could kick it down.

Before he did, I heard Mai ask (y/n) and John "where we're you anyway." "we were in the second floor hallway," replied (y/n).

Monk then kicked down the door, and I got out of the room a bit shaken up. "I am sorry for worrying you, Ayako." Said (y/n) sympathetically. I look at her and smile. She returns the smile. "What were you doing on the second floor anyway." Asked Monk.
"I wanted to know why the camera went blank. It was like someone erased the footage. I'm sorry I should have told you where I was going then you wouldn't have to worry." (Y/n) said, looking down at the ground.
"I went looking for (y/n) after that girl left." John said.
"Well, I'm going to start an exorcism on the building to drive out the spirits. Care to watch." I said, looking at the group in front of me.
"Sure." Mai said. (Y/n) just nodded, and so did monk and John. Naru just looked bored, and Masako didn't look happy.

~(y/n)'s pov~

I looked at Naru, and he looked bored. Masako looked like she wanted to hit something or someone, but I wasn't bothered about that. What I was bothered about was that we didn't mention anything about the ceiling collapsing on us just a few minutes ago. 'This is going to bug me until we find out if it is a poltergeist or a ghost. Whatever it is. It could have gotten me and John badly injured. I'm glad that John is okay.' I thought.

~thank you for reading. I know it is early, like the last chapter was, but I had this on my mind, so I decided to write it down and post it. Let me know what you thought of it. I'm sorry that the chapters have been short. I am hoping to make them longer the father into the story we go. I also know there hasn't been a pov for Masako, Naru, Monk, and Mai yet, but I am hoping to get them in at some point in later chapters.
