Destroying the doll

~(Y/n)'s pov~

The next day, which was a Saturday, I woke to someone talking. Well two someone's talking. One of them sounded like Mai and the other sounded like Ayako... no it was Ayumi. Mai was talking to Ayumi about something. That something would have been related to her doll. Minnie.

Suddenly, I felt like there was someone else in the room with me. I turned around and found Minnie sitting behind me. 'What the hell. What is Minnie doing here? Where is here? That doll is so creepy.' I thought to myself.

The next thing I know a high pitched scream came out of my own mouth. 'Why did I scream. I can hear people running down the hallway.' I thought mentally slapping myself for screaming.

The door to the room I was in flu open and there stood Monk, Ayako, Mai, John, Naru, Lin and Masako. "Is everything alright?" Asked Mai. She sounded panicked, but I'm not surprised she just heard a scream coming from the room that I was in. "Y-yes I'm okay. I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you. It's just that I saw Minnie sitting behind me and I didn't expect to see her there. That's all." I said looking back at Minnie who seemed to have moved a little closer to me.
'That doll is getting closer. She's like the weeping angles out of doctor who. You can't look away from them or they will get closer and you can't let them touch you.' I thought shaking a little about that thought.
"When did Minnie get there?" Asked John which caught my attention. "What? You mean to tell me that she wasn't in here from the beginning." I asked a little shocked.
"That is what I am saying. When me and Monk brought you to this room because you fell asleep at the desk again she wasn't there." John replied. I blushed a little at the fact that he brought me to this room, but I shook it off because we have just got enough evidence that tells us the doll is possessed like I thought.
"That means. She is possessed like I thought." I replied.
"Yes the doll is possessed, but what I want to know is how you came up with that conclusion to begin with." Replied Naru. I looked Naru directly in the eyes.
"I have my ways like you have yours." I replied bluntly with no emotion showing.
"Very well. We need to get back to work." Naru said turning on his heal and walking away.
"Right. Well I recon I'll be seeing you in a few minutes then (y/n)." Said Mai before she followed her crush. I mean Naru out of the room.

I watched as the others walked away. "Well then. I better get back to work." I said. I got up off of the bed and headed for the the door. That's when I realised that I didn't have my shoes on. 'Where could my shoes be.' I thought looking everywhere for them. That's when I noticed that Minnie wasn't in my room anymore. 'Where could Minnie have gone. This is getting really creepy.' I thought.

A few minutes later I found my shoes, but when I stood and turned around I didn't expect to see someone leaning up against the door frame. "You made me jump. Can I help you?" I said walking over to the bed to sit down and put my shoes on.
"No I was just coming to get you because you were taking a long time." Said John.
"Oh right. Sorry I will be out in just a minute." I replied. I finished putting my shoes on and I walked down the hall to the base with John.

~time skip to midnight~

I was sat by the desk waiting for someone to explain what is happening. "Ugh. Can someone please tell me what is happening." I said. "Mai is setting up a camera in Ayumi's room to make sure nothing happens to Ayumi." Said Lin.
"Why?" I replied feeling a little confused.
"That's right she didn't tell you did she." Naru said mockingly.
"Tell me what?" I replied gritting my teeth at how annoying he is being. "Ayumi said to Mai that she can't be nice to anyone because if she is then Minnie will hurt her." Said Ayako. "What? So if Ayumi says or does something kind to someone then Minnie will hurt her for doing that." I said. 'That doesn't seam right. Why hurt someone for doing or saying something nice. Unless Minnie was never treated with kindness so she doesn't want anyone else to be treated with kindness.' I thought.

I was then pulled back down to reality by Mai gasping. "What's going on." I said.
"M-Minnie has m-moved." Mai stuttered. I got up from where I was sitting and walked over to stand next to Lin and Mai. That's when I saw Minnie being dragged across the bed and her head begin to turn until it broke off and rolled over to the camera.

I stood there looking at the screen not knowing what to do. "We need to get this placed cleansed now." Said Monk. "Then let's begin with the well (y/n) fell down. John you stay here with (y/n) and keep an eye out for anything else happening while we are gone." Naru said walking out of the room with the others following close behind. 'Well it's only me and John in here know.' I thought feeling a little awkward because of what happened a few days ago.

~John's pov~

The others have just left the room leaving me and (y/n) alone. I wanted to talk to (y/n) but I didn't know what to say. I know that we kissed, but that doesn't mean we share the same feelings does it. I don't know. 'Should I ask here what she thinks of me or should I just let her tell me when she feels like it. My heart says leave it, but my gut says ask her... I'm going with my gut.' I thought.
"Why do you think Minnie was behind you when you woke up?" I asked.
"I don't know. I don't understand why she was behind me. It was like she saw a target on my back or something because she got closer while all of you were running to my room. Also when I was looking for my shoes before you came she went like someone came in and took her with out me knowing about it." (Y/n) replied not looking over at me.
"That's odd, but now that you mention it I remember looking behind you and not seeing the doll there. So could someone have come in and taken her." I asked.
"No someone couldn't have come in and taken her because I was in the room the whole time, so the only way she could have gone was if she well vanished or walked out of the room. Besides you saw what happened a few hours ago with the doll." She replied glancing over to me.
"How do we get rid of the spirit?" I asked.
"I don't know. I'm sure the others will get it done. Maybe we just burn the doll." She said turning around and looking at me.
"Maybe, but what if Ayumi finds out. What would we do then?" I asked.
"I don't know what we will do if Ayumi finds out. I'm sure we will fogger that out when it comes to it." She said.

~time skip to an hour later~

The others enter the base with Minnie. I looked over and saw Monk who looked like he has just seen a ghost. "What's going on. I thought you were going to get rid of the doll?" I asked. This cough (y/n)'s attention and she turned around. She instantly saw the doll and her face paled.
"I though the dolls head came off." (Y/n) said.
"It did." Replied Mai.
"Then what's it doing back on the dolls body like nothing happened?" (Y/n) replied.
"We don't know. We tried to burn the doll but it wouldn't burn." Monk replied.
"How about you exorcise the spirit in the doll and then you burn it." (Y/n) replied.
"You know that might actually work." I said looking at (y/n) who just nodded in my direction. 'I will ask her.' I thought.
"Well John would you like to do the honour of exorcising the spirit." Monk said.
"Not a problem mate." I replied.

A few minutes later I came back dressed in my robes. I took out my bible and holy water and stood in front of Minnie. "Are father. Who art in heaven. Hallow be thy name. In the beginning was the word and the word was with God and the word is God." Through out the whole exorcism I was splashing holy water over the doll.
"The spirit has left the doll." Masako said.
"We should now burn the doll." Monk said.
"I'll do it." (Y/n) replied standing up and picking up the doll.

I watched as she walked out of the base and out to the back garden. "She doesn't seem very happy. Maybe that kiss wasn't good enough." Monk said. I looked over at him and walked out of the base to the back where (y/n) was. "Can I ask you something?" I said. "Sue what is it." (Y/n) replied. "What do you think of me." I asked.
"John. Surely you know that. Let's put it this way. I have feelings for you because if I didn't I wouldn't​ have kissed you back." She said chucking a match into the metal trash can with the doll in it.

We both stood there and watched as the doll started to melt away into ash. "I'm glad that this is over." I said.
"It isn't over I'm afraid. We still need to cleanse the room with the well in it." (Y/n) replied.
"We better get to work then." I said about to leave.
"I will start to do that in the morning." (Y/n) replied.
"It is the morning." I said looking up at the clouds.
"Kill joy." Replied (y/n). I couldn't help but laugh which caused her to laugh as well.

Suddenly, she walked over to me and kissed me on the cheek. "I like you more than a friend." She said before walking away.
