Fining out who the poltergeist is

~(Y/n) pov~

It was a Thursday morning. I just woke up from only having two hours of sleep. I go to the kitchen and got my breakfast ready. I then realise I still need to get ready for school. So I put my (b/f) down on the table and walk up to my room.

~time skip to after getting ready for school.~

I was sat at the table and I had just finished my (b/f) so I got up and put the dish in the sink. I then picked up my bag and left the house locking it behind me. 'Things are going to be so awkward between me and John now. I don't understand why I didn't tell him the truth, but what I heard him say... did I really hear that properly. Did he say I knew you wouldn't be single? Where did that come from?' I thought.

I was in such a daze that I didn't realise that I was walking past the old schoolhouse and that Mai was calling get me and that was getting the attention of the others.

~Mai's pov~

I see (y/n) walk past the old schoolhouse. I was calling her, but she didn't seem to hear me. "Mai what's going on?" Monk asked.
"(Y/n) doesn't seem to be listening. I have called her about 10 times and she doesn't respond." I replied. "Maybe she found out a certain someone was listening in yesterday to a conversation that didn't concern you." said Naru.
"I wasn't listening into anyone's conversation." I replied.

I then noticed (y/n) was looking at us a bit confused. I walked over to her. "okay so please don't be mad." I said looking at her.
"What the hell. Why would I be mad at you?" Asked (y/n).
"I'm thinking of skipping out on school today." I replied.
"that's okay. I was planning on skipping out as well today." (y/n) replied. She smiled at me and we walked over to the others,

~John's pov~

I watched as Mai and (y/n) walked over and stood together. I wanted to walk over and talk to (y/n), but I couldn't. 'Maybe now isn't the time to talk to each other. She is probably still getting over her boyfriend dumping her.' I thought.

I looked up after I hear the bell ring for them to go to school. "Wait don't you two have school to go to." Asked Ayako.
"yes Mai does. She is a freshman, so she has to go to school." Replied (y/n). "So does that put you in the same year?" Asked monk.
"you would think that because we hang out, but no. I'm a Senior. Besides school wouldn't mind if me or Mai don't turn up." (y/n) said.
"We have a job to do, so let's get it done." Said Kazuya.
"what's wrong with him all of a sudden?" asked (y/n).

'she seems okay. Maybe she has gotten over the dream up.' I thought.

"you know that guy who got hurt. well he is back and we didn't get to a good start." Said Mai.
"well then. This is going to be interesting." said (y/n)

~time skip. Brought us to inside the schoolhouse.~

I walked to the second floor with the others where me and (y/n) boarded up the door and windows. "John, (y/n) are those your signatures?" Asked Kazuya.
"yes that is my signature. It would be hard to copy my signature." I replied. "Like wise." Said (y/n).

Kazuya then picked up a crowbar and took off the boards that covered the door to the classroom. "The chair has moved." I said.
"No one could have gotten in because everything was boarded up." Said Mai.
"Then it must be a poltergeist." I said. "Let's have a look and see what the camera picked up shall we." Said Kazuya.

I look over to see that (y/n) wasn't with us. "Where has (y/n) gone?" I asked.
"I'm behind you John." Said (y/n). I turn around to look at her. She looks back at me and she looks a bit confused.

We all walk down to where the base is set up. "Rewind the footage on the camera on the second floor classroom back." Said Kazuya. Lin rewinds the tape and we watch as the chair moved not once but twice. "So it is a poltergeist." Said Mai.
"Yes. A poltergeist is someone who has psychic powers, but they normally act on the feelings of that person. They are someone who is looking for attention." Said Kazuya.

~(y/n) pov~

Naru just explained that a poltergeist is sometimes someone who is looking for attention. 'We all know who that is.' I thought and I looked over at Koradah who was looking down. "Koradah. You are the one who created this poltergeist." Said Naru.
"No I'm not. There is a ghost in here." said Koradah.
"Koradah you are the only one here that has Ben looking for attention. You constantly said that you are a psychic. I'm not saying you aren't, but you have to admit you were looking for attention." I replied.
"All I ever wanted was someone to notice me. Everyone kept on ignoring me." Said Koradah.
"Stop using that you are a psychic as a way to get people to notice you. There is nothing more to be said about it." I said.
'I know that it is harsh, but she doesn't have to use being a psychic as a way to get attention.' I thought.

I looked at the others and walked out of the room and out of the schoolhouse.

I walked to my class and sat down in my chair after I came up with an excuse to why I was late.

~time skip to before the end of the day~

I was looking out of the window in my last lesson and I noticed that Naru was packing up all of the equipment. I also noticed that John was helping with a few things before he left.

I noticed him look up at me and wave. I was going to wave back, but my teacher was talking about some homework we had to do for Math, so I looked over and listened. 'I hope I didn't upset him.' I thought.

I looked out the window again and see that John is still there so I smile at him.

Suddenly, the old schoolhouse collapses on one side and everyone in my class runs up to the window to watch. "WOW!" Shouted one of the students in my class. 'I just hope everyone got out of there before it collapsed.' I thought looking down.
