9. Apology Accepted

Maine Mendoza burried herself in her brown locks as she sat on her assigned seat on their flight to London. She had been waiting for this since September but at that moment, she felt like she wanted to cancel everything that was planned.

A day earlier, Maine and her fiancé Richard Faulkerson Jr. had an argument during their segment on the famous noontime show. Apparently, their exchange of jokes was one that they weren't used to. Maine got annoyed while RJ got frustrated over the jokes that passed betweent them. Everyone saw it and passed it on as a simple lover's quarrel, something that was not the case.

When RJ brought Maine home yesterday, he said his goodbyes then went on his way to his show. Maine was so frustrated that she wanted to cancel the trip but when she texted RJ she wanted to, RJ just replied "don't push it."

That made her calm herself a bit. She knew that he still wanted to be with her despite their arguments. And, despite everything, she still wanted to spend time with him. She loves him too much to let one argument destroy them.

The night went on and RJ dropped by to say goodnight to Maine. He was still pissed but it didn't really matter because he loved her and despite their misunderstandings, he knows that they both learn from it.

When RJ dropped by that night, he started apologizing.

"Maine, sorry sa inasal ko kanina. It won't happen again." He held her hand as he said those words. Maine, however, wasn't saying anything. She was getting even more frustrated with RJ because he was apologizing even if it wasn't his fault. "I'll pick you up tomorrow okay?" Maine was still quiet but RJ went ahead and kissed her on the cheek like he always does and it made Maine show a little bit of a smile, which lightened up RJ's mood.

Now here they were. Maine was still ignoring RJ even though she greeted him good morning when he picked her up. When they were both settled in, RJ finally broke the silence.

"I'm sorry again. I know galit ka pa rin but please let me know what I can do to make it up to you." He gave her his puppy dog eyes which Maine found irresistible.

"Ako may kasalanan. You shouldn't apologize for something I did." They were talking hush tones. They also failed to notice that the plane had taken off while they were busy conversing with each other about their problems. "Dinamay ko si Mama Ten."

"It wasn't about that. Mababash ka nanaman kasi kaya ako nainis nung sinabi mo yun but in the end I figured you'll be bashed anyway no matter what ypu say or do so I pretty much ignored it and let it go. Akala ko galit ka kasi sa ginawa ko sa pasta."

"Napikon lang ako. Alam mo naman na mabilis ako mapikon pero hindi talaga ako dun nagalit. Nagalit ako dahil alam ko ako ang may kasalanan." When Maine said those words, RJ didn't hesitate. He kissed her the way he knew that she was the most important person in the world to him.

The gesture that RJ did shocked Maine but was more surprised when RJ stopped it. "You know I love you so much, right?" Maine nodded, then kissed again. And, again. And, again.

Maine's hand traveled down RJ's thigh while his hand traveled to her waist. "Love, may sasabihin ako." RJ whispered sensually over Maine's ear. He added a soft nibble after his last word.

"Kasama ba yan sa bucketlist ko at bucketlist mo?" Maine gave RJ the naughtiest smirk that she could muster.

A FEW MINUTES LATER

RJ stood up from his seat and made his way to the lavatory. He needed to relieve the pressure on his bladder. He also needed to relieve himself because the sensual talk that he and Maine had earlier got interrupted when turbulence arose. It was also followed by more interruptions when the flight crew served meals and many other shit their way so their flirtatious behaviour halted abruptly.

He decided to go and join the Mile High Club himself without Maine because he saw a blanket near her seat and thought she was napping. He badly needed the relief and he thought that Maine deserved that nap.

When he got to the bathroom, it was occupied. He waited for a few minutes but the person inside seem to be oblivious to people who needed the lavatory.

"Excuse me po, matagal pa po ba kayo?" He said as he knocked again. He was shocked when the door opened and someone pulled him inside.

It was Maine. She planted her lips against his before he could process what was happening so he stopped her for a sec.

"Akala ko tulog ka?" He looked at her all confused.

"Kumot lang yun. Nag CR ako. Sakto ikaw dumating. Di ko sana bubu..." She wasn't able to finish her sentence because RJ mashed his lips against her.

She wrapped his arms around his neck while he carried her on top of the sink, with the process of removing the barriers of clothing between them. Unfortunately, the leg room was only enough to remove the trousers.

"Ready to join the Mile High Club, love?" RJ whispered as he prepared himself to enter her.

"Di pa ba tayo kasali? Nahuli na tayo sa Cebu ah." They giggled then she pulled him in for a kiss. "Ready na. I'm sorry again, RJ." She wrapped her legs around him as she pressed herself against his member.

"I'm sorry, too." He gently pushed himself in. Besides the pleasure both felt at that moment, their minds synchronized in one thought -- Apology accepted.
