Time can't heal all wounds

Steve~

        Three weeks later Makenna was still asleep. Cho said that her body had to regenerate, but I think she is just trying to prepare us for the worst. Her brother won't cooperate and neither will Lilly. They both swear that they had no idea that this would happen. I wonder if it isn't better for her to be asleep. She went through something no one should ever have to. Even time may not be able to heal this wound. 

         "Steve," Clint says coming into the med bay behind me," How's she doing today?" He asks looking at Makenna. 

         "Same. You'd have to ask Cho she won't tell me what's going on and frankly I'm scared that it's bad." He looked at Cho and put one hand on my shoulder. 
         "Look man, you can't ask her to wake up. That's like asking the earth to stop rotating. She needs to get her hold back and when she wants to wake up she will. Until then we've just got to hold onto the hope that she knows what she is doing . . . where ever she is." She takes his hand off of my shoulder and goes to walk out. Before he gets too far Makenna's heart monitor starts to go hey wire. I stand up and Cho pushes me aside. She pushes a couple buttons and is about to give her a sedative when her eyes open. She sits up and looks around. She starts to hyperventilate. 

         "Makenna, you have to calm down or I am going to have to sedate you." Cho says. Makenna slides her legs off of the side of the bed and starts to take a few deep breathes. "Good. Tell me something, say anything."
          "I think I'm going to throw up." She says holding her stomach.
          "Steve get a bucket," Cho says, I stay there looking at Makenna," Steve now." I nod and grab a bucket. Makenna grabs it before all he contents of her stomach come out. Clint groans in disgust. 
           "I'm going to tell everyone that she's awake." He leaves the room and I turn back to Makenna who had just finished throwing up. Cho takes the bucket and puts it in a trash can. 
          "Makenna I have a few question are you okay to answer them?" Makenna nods. "How old are you?" 
          "I'm 21." 
          "What year is it?" 

         "2016." 
         "Where are you right now?" Cho asks slowly. 
         "In the med bay on a shield helicarrier." Makenna says taking a deep breathe. 
         "What's the last thing that you remember?" Makenna stays quiet. "Makenna what do you remember?" Cho repeats.
          "Brian." Makenna whispers. "And Lilly, they wanted the drug in me. I almost killed everyone. A man saved me. And then . . . nothing." Cho nods. 
          "Good Makenna. Very good. Okay I need you to lie back and relax I need to do a couple of blood tests before I can clear you to leave. Steve." Cho says as she walks away. I walk over to her. "Physically she's fine. Mentally and emotionally, I can't say. The one who knows about this is Dr. Banner but we all know that isn't even a possibility. I'm going to keep her just a little longer. With what just happened with her powers who knows how she'll react when she finds her brother is her with Lilly?" 
           "My brother and Lilly are here?" Makenna asks from across the room. "I think I'm going to throw up again." I run ad grab the bucket and give it to her. I breathe a sigh of relief when she doesn't throw up.
          "Yes they are," Fury says coming in. "And you don't have to worry about them. They are being moved to the fridge where they can't reach you."
          "Wait." Makenna says," I need to talk to them first. I need to know where my dad is." 
         "Phil is waiting for you to wake up." Fury says confused.
         "Not him. The dad that raised me for four years." Makenna says," He saved me. At least I owe him a thank you for that." She brings her legs back up on the bed and lays back on the pillow. "Cho, am I supposed to be tired?" She asks, her eyes drooping.
         "After what you've been through, definitely." Cho says coming over to Makenna. "Get some sleep. It won't do you any good to be exhausted for the rest of the day." Makenna nods and closes her eyes. She breathes out a short breathe before her breathe becomes shallow and she is asleep. 
         "Will she be okay?" Fury asks Cho.
        "Only time will answer that question Fury. Physically she is fine but what she just went through is going o be harder to get over than any injury would."
