SO Blake was writing up something when she found a basket placed in front of her, she levelled her eyes to meet the person's gaze to see it was none other than Grace.
Taking her glasses off, she stared at Grace,
"How can I help you?" She smiled.
"What's the true meaning of this, SO?" Grace asked as SO Blake continued to smile.
"The meaning of what?" She asked.
"A cop not knowing?" Grace spoke.
"This is a welcoming gift, Grace. I know you're upset about not riding your motorcycle, but consider this as an alternative to it." Blake spoke as she placed her glasses back on again, the frames obscuring the glimmer in those blue eyes.
"I know that this isn't just a welcoming gift, there's something you aren't telling me." Grace figured as her hands were to her side, her eyes fitted onto the blue orbs of the SO.
"What would I possibly hide?" She questioned.
"You're an SO, lots of things. Why did you give me that office?" Grace wondered. "I mean if it were someone else, you'd probably place them in a booth, right?" She calmly spoke as the Senior Officer smiled generously.
Taking off her glasses, again she held it as she pointed at Grace with the tips of the glasses.
"You know Grace, I admire you. You're innocent, quiet and well-behaved. However, the police department and I see that you're sometimes different." Blake stated.
"That intrigues me." She smiled, not discussing any further information.
Grace left the room as, SO Blake called after her,
"Grace, your gift basket." Grace grabbed the basket and headed back to her office as she closed the door, placing the basket down on the coffee table.
Taking a seat on the swivel chair, she raised an outcome that she'd have to catch the criminal fast because she felt something oddly strange around the SO, as well as wanting her motorcycle rights back.
Switching on the computer, Grace decided to make an account under her name as she created her log in and password. She waited for it to be finalised, re-typing in her password and username, she was finally in.
Staring at the background that held nothing remarkable, Grace went onto Safari and searched up for backgrounds, clicking on the related bar, she found nature. Double clicking on the selected hyperlink, she scrolled down to catch a dozen of images. After a while, Grace finally picked the right one that reminded her of something.
Saving the image and placing it as Grace's desktop background.
The palm trees enveloped her computer screen with a wonderful reminisce of memories back in eighth grade, a smile bounced upon her lips as she thought about such a beautiful moment.
Interrupting the thoughtful Grace from her memory, a phone rang, her head turned to the desk to see it was blinking. Lifting the phone up, slowly she placed it on her ear.
"Grace? Please come to the conference room." Grace placed the phone down as she got off the chair and headed towards the door. Closing it on her way out, she saw people making their way towards the conference room which was down the hall and to the right.
"Settle down, everyone. I've gathered you-." Grace made her way inside the conference room to see others standing and mumbling to each other wondering what was going on.
"-all here today, because we have a new recruit, Grace Science." The moment SO Blake said that, everyone's heads whipped towards Grace, many of them could've sprained their necks by the force given.
