"What do you mean you don't trust Damien?" Jack asked slowly.
"I don't trust him." Grace repeated, "I know he's planning something." Grace already figured out.
"Okay, are you sure?" Jack asked.
"I know Damien a lot more better than you would, Jack. He's not someone to easily act civil with."
"Then why'd you forgive him?"
"I forgave him, only because-." Grace stopped talking as she stared at the boxes, a small silence falling upon the two.
Grace moved towards the three boxes and started scanning them, Jack was quite curious and weirded out what Grace was doing.
"What are you doing?" He asked.
"This." She spoke as she slammed her fist down on the boxes lock twice as the lock fell off. There inside was something beeping, something alert.
Grace gritted her teeth together in annoyance as she stuffed her hands into her pockets, pulling out the keys and staring at them for a few seconds.
She looked at the keys again before proceeding to pick up the pieces that she'd found inside the lock and turn the keys into them.
"Alarm disabled."
Jack was now looking surprised.
"I knew he was messing around." Grace spoke disgusted. "But who wouldn't expect it." She spoke.
"But-but what about you?" Jack asked. "You cried-."
"I had to go along with his act, to make it seem convincing." Jack was truly frustrated now.
"So, he wasn't trying to make amends but to make it even worse?" He asked as he stared at the pieces on the floor.
Looking at the pieces from afar, Jack crouched down as he collected the pieces, scanning for anything that seemed dangerous.
"Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property." Jack breathed out. "A chip? What was he going to do with a chip?" Jack asked as Grace thought back for a minute.
'The sound of your name always had given the life of the party as you say...'
Grace's minds recalled what Damien had mentioned, 'life of the party'. Life of the party?
Grace suddenly had flashbacks which weren't clear, but very faint, these were very rare moments and she had no idea what they were. Random colours were forming in her head as these flashes came out of nowhere.
Shaking her head, Jack looked at her.
"Grace are you okay?" She nodded her head slowly.
"You said something about a chip." Grace began as Jack nodded his head slowly.
"Yeah, why would he need to put a chip inside here. That too on these boxes." Jack responded.
"I'm not sure. But I know if it's Damien, it's some new plot." Grace folded her arms. "I just don't know yet."
"Do you think it could lead to The Attacker?" Jack wondered.
"Perhaps, it could. But I'm sure if it did, Damien wouldn't give off information really quickly." Jack nodded his head at Grace's words.
"No one knows about that psychopath. He or she hasn't even attacked for a few days. This is something and people should be looking out for." Jack admitted just as his and Grace's phone pinged.
They both pulled out their phones as Grace and Jack looked somehow curious and relieved.
"I take that back."
Jack and Grace stared at each other before running out of the room and down the stairs, as they left the house.
"Won't your mom ask any questions?"
"Oh, no she's at work." Jack answered Grace's question. "I plugged all the data from the cameras and any notifications if this serial killer was spotted to come directly to our phones."
"Good work, Woods."
"Thanks, Science." He winked as the two were now running towards the direction of the park.
They were both near the spot where Grace had stopped when she had seen Jack, Bucky and Paul that day. Grace could see two figures.
One dressed in full black and the other with a mask.
"Did you do what I asked?" A very low voice spoke, perhaps a voice enhancer.
"Yes, Master. I had seen Damien, Grace and Jack here today. I've even got the footage." Grace and Jack shared a look, as Jack pulled out his phone.
He started recording everything as Grace and Jack were both hidden behind the wall.
"What about that annoying girl. Summer." Grace scrunched her brows, curious.
"She's dealt with. She's not muttered a single word ever since she had a fall out with Tania."
"Good. If that girl tells everyone, our plan will fail." The Attacker nodded slowly as Grace was listening very carefully to every part.
"Remember, to block off all the CCTV footages. We don't want any of the police department to know about this."
"Yes, Master." The person disappeared as The Attacker nodded as they both parted ways.
Jack stopped the recording,
"I'll go see where the person is going to."
"I'll go after The Attacker." Grace nodded as Jack nodded in response.
The two parted ways as Grace slowly camouflaged herself as she was following The Attacker. The Attacker stopped walking as Grace hid behind the corner.
A few seconds passed as Grace turned her head to see The Attacker continuing to walk again. This time she/he had already turned another corner, Grace followed where this person was going.
The moment she had been close enough to The Attacker, she was pulled by two hands and near the trees.
The person covered her mouth as Grace looked up to see who it was.
