"I see you've already established me."
"It's nice to see you again."
"Looks like you've met Jake again." Grace flickered her eyes towards the boy who had tied the ropes around Grace's wrists.
Jake's gaze moved towards Grace.
Turning her sight back to the man in front of her, Grace exhaled through her nose lightly.
"I know, I know. The both of you haven't seen each other for what, five years. It's bound to happen. Not see each other and forget about one another."
"You're saying it like they loved each other." Someone spoke.
"Perhaps they did. I mean they were each other's best friend." Grace gritted her teeth together.
Grace clenched her fists together, this time everyone's eyes moved towards her fists. The man in front of her looked surprised yet not surprised at the same time.
"I guess you're angry."
Grace kept her mouth shut, as everyone focussed their attention, as the man stared at her already knowing what's on Grace's mind.
"Let me guess you have a hundred questions running through your mind, but the first one is not why? But who had slammed you against the locker."
"Well my-." He cut himself. "Grace, the answer to that question to that is simple." He snapped his fingers as someone entered.
It was none other than Bucky.
Grace stared at the person with foreign emotions and tried to hold it in.
"I guess you've met him before, right?"
"Oh, we've met once before." Bucky solemnly responded.
"Trust me, she was no match for me."
"Oh really?" Grace arched a brow. "Are you sure about that?" Bucky swallowed.
"Something intriguing, eh?" Someone else spoke.
"Care to explain."
"I- uh,"
"Don't tell me, Bucky was beaten up." The second person spoke with much amused interest.
Bucky was quiet than his previous cocky self.
"Wow, someone was a little too overjoyed." The second person spoke quietly.
"You must be wondering why you're here, Grace?" The man himself arched a brow.
"I'll let Bucky explain that."
Bucky looked surprised but cleared his throat and began to talk in a confident manner.
"Since you've been incognito from somewhere specific, we've decided to cut you off." Grace scrunched her brows.
"What does that mean?"
"It means because you can't fight, you're literally useless."
"So you kidnapped me here all of a sudden?" Grace asked.
"Yeah, to see if you really could fight." Grace knew what they were doing and she wasn't going to fall into any trap.
"I know you want to fight, Grace. I know you want too." Grace ignored those words.
"Come on, Gracie." Jake's eyes lifted up slightly as his lips parted the slightest.
"What'd you just call me?" She asked Bucky.
"Oh you're a girl and don't like being called Gracie."
"I suggest you keep quiet, Bucky." Someone piped up.
"Not a chance. Gracie, Gracie. Gracie." He smirked.
Grace got herself off the chair as the boys who were supposed to be guarding her stroke in a stance. Grace wanted to punch Bucky but stopped eerily close to him.
"Don't you dare, call me that ever again." Bucky's heart beat rose as Grace stepped back. Swallowing, she was about to leave the room when someone blocked the pathway.
"Let her go." The man spoke, as they untied her hands; as she exited the boxed room.
Stray tears fell down Grace's eyes as she was fast walking her way but bumped into a body, pulling herself back.
"S-sorry." About to leave Grace felt someone grab hold onto her hand gently.
There stood Griffin staring at her confused and worriedly.
"Are you alright?" He asked her as she looked at him before staring to the side, trying not to lock eyes with Griffin.
Grace nodded her head, but Griffin didn't seem convinced.
"You can tell me you know, Science." Grace looked at Griffin as she saw the sincerity in his eyes.
"For someone like you, Science. I'm not shocked." Currently the both of them were sitting outside underneath the bleacher stairs.
"But I'm glad you told me." He nodded his head.
Grace slowly turned to Griffin, as he turned his head towards her.
"Someone like you, doesn't deserve," He lifted his index finger, "to cry," and wiped the stray tear that was resting on her cheek.
Griffin's brown eyes were filled with warmth, calmness and mystery. His warm tone, mid golden brown hair reflected his pale but warm looking skin.
"Th-thanks." Grace slowly spoke.
"For what?" He asked knitting his eyebrows slowly together.
"For being there." He smiled at her words.
"You know we're not much different from each other." He admitted as Grace nodded her head to that in response.
"I seemed to realise that."
