Grace knew that Summer was only trying to help, but she knew that with Summer's statement, there would be a lot of issues. Grace tried to hide away the frustrated and annoyed look, with a calm and cool facade. George and Vincent had face-palmed themselves at their youngest sister's action.
"Grace." Grace knew what was to come next.
"You're grounded." Summer was shocked, George and Vincent already knew this.
"Wh-how?" Summer asked.
"Well Summer, perhaps you don't know this. You may think that Grace saved you, but whilst doing so, she could've gotten in trouble. Big trouble." Her mother folded her arms as Summer felt bad for saying this now.
"I don't understand, mom. Grace only did this to protect me."
"Protect you? Do you see any care from her?" Grace's eye had been numb from here on, but she could feel something prick.
"Oh is the big bad girl turning into a baby?" Valerie teased.
"Are you going to cry?" Grace's tear unwittingly fell down from her bruised eye. The pain that lingered in her eye was actually forming tears.
"Go ahead cry, at least you're showing an emotion." Valerie scolded.
"Be quiet, Valerie." Valerie was surprised what had came out of Grace's mouth.
"You don't know me anymore. You don't have any right to say any of this to me." Grace began to speak, as her tear was already dismissed. No tears fell. The pain in her eye dissolved, but the emotion that coursed through her body was pure frustration.
"I don't know why you act like a big bully. But calling me big bad girl." Grace scoffed slightly. "That's interesting coming from you." Grace calmly spoke as Valerie glared at Grace.
"Don't you dare, Grace, talk to me like that." Valerie warned.
"What, so it's acceptable for you to talk to me like this?" Grace began proving her point as Valerie sealed her lips.
"You always say to me. I'm not a caring person. I don't care for anyone, right?"
"I may have gotten injured, in order for Summer not to get hurt, but don't you tell me that I don't care for my family; because I do. My family are the world to me and if you don't want to accept that. That's your problem." Grace shook her head as Valerie kept quiet for the first time.
Grace opened the door as she headed outside, ignoring anything being said as she made her way to the police station. Passing by other officers along the way. Grace saw Jack approach fixing his backpack.
"Hey Grace. I bought the-." Jack stopped himself as he stared at Grace.
"Cables."
Entering the office, Grace and Jack sat down, as Grace's eye was filled again with pain. She tried to blink, but it was starting to become difficult right now.
Jack placed his bag down and opened up the fridge as he pulled out an ice-pack. Placing it into his palms he crushed it with the mere contact of his fist.
"Here, Grace." Jack handed it to Grace, who lifted it up and placed it onto her eye.
Jack went to the cabinet as he pulled out the first aid kit. Grace sat down on the leather couch as Jack came next to her. He opened up the first aid kit and started pulling out the required equipment to treat Grace's eye.
