Where Am I?

I wake up with a throbbing head. When I slowly open my eyes, I can't see anything. I'm blindfolded.

I immediately try to stand up to run off, but I can't move, I try to move my arms, but I can't. I'm tied to something. What's going on? Where am I? I think I've been kidnapped.

Who would want to do this to me? Why? I've never really had enemies, no relationships that ended badly. As I start freaking out, I think back to something that Isabelle once said to me.

Flashback to 3 years ago
I was taking a trip to the Gold Coast, and my mom and I had just had a scary encounter with a man that tried to sell us drugs. I was starting to freak out and it was late at night, so I called Isabelle. What she told me that night I have never forgotten.
"The most important thing to do in any bad situation is stay calm. Freaking out doesn't help at all it just makes the problem worse because you can't think clearly."

I wonder how I suddenly remembered that three years later, but I start to take deep breaths and try to calm down. Suddenly I hear someone speak to me.

"You're finally awake" says a voice, definitely male. It sounds so familiar, but with trying to focus on staying calm, I can't remember who's voice it is.

"What am I doing here? Why did you take me? What do you even want with me?" I ask, trying not to let my voice crack, because I'm on the verge of bursting into tears.

"Jesus, one question at a time. First, you're here because I want you to be here. Second, I took you because you caught my eye. And third, you'll find out at some point."

"Why can't I see anything?"

"Because I blindfolded you."

"Why?"

"Because I'm not wearing a mask, and you can't see my face just yet."

"Oh" my voice slightly cracks and I can feel tears start to pool in my eyes.

"Look, if you sit tight for a minute I'll go put a mask on" the harsh voice has gotten slightly softer.

I hear footsteps walking up some stairs, and after a minute they come back down. I hear them coming closer, and I start breathing heavily. I'm so terrified right now, I have no idea how I'm keeping it together.

"You don't have to be afraid" the voice says softly.

I don't understand what he's saying until I realize I'm trembling. I take a deep breath and try to calm myself. It doesn't work. The footsteps walk behind me, and a hand is placed on my shoulder, making me jump.

"Okay I'm going to take the blindfold off. Don't try anything. Understand?" The voice says more harshly.

I nod my head, not daring to speak. The blindfold is untied and removed from my eyes. As I slowly open my eyes, I start to take in my surroundings. I'm in some basement type room, and as I look down I realize I'm tied to a chair.
