It's been around a week since my decision to escape from this house and from Josh, the person who I know I care about. I might actually love him. Things have gotten a bit better between the two of us now. Josh is happy since I've been following his every word and not asking questions or talking back.

What he doesn't know is that it's because I need him to trust me so he won't see the escape coming. My next mission is to examine all the doors and windows of the house to see which one is the easiest to escape from. Hopefully there's some way to sneak out from one of the windows without being detected by Josh. I don't want to go back to living in that dark basement.

It's still early, which means Josh will be asleep. That gives me time to go downstairs and check out the doors and the windows. I remember Josh saying something about the windows being bulletproof, but I hope he was joking because there's no way I can break through a bulletproof window.

I yawn, gather all my thoughts, and get out of my warm comfortable bed. I open my bedroom door and peek my head out to make sure the coast is clear before tiptoeing down the stares.

"Okay Nicole" I mumble to myself before walking towards the windows. "Lets do this."

Authors Note
Hello frens once again I disappeared for like a month. School is killing me now because of math but I've written this chapter and two more so I have updates for the next two weeks. My nose piercing got a scar tissue buildup so that was fun, but otherwise life is good. And my little kitten weighs 5 pounds now he's so cute. I also bleached my hair and I'm planning on dying it lavender. How's everyone doing?
