Chapter 33

I wake up with Josh's strong arms still wrapped protectively around me. It makes me feel better to know that even if someone got past all the extra security measures in this house, it would still take the jaws of life to pry me out of Josh's arms.

Then they would have to face the man himself

I smile lightly and look over at the still sleeping Josh. He looks so perfect when he's asleep, you would never know he's a bipolar, possessive, slightly psychotic kidnapper. He just looks like an angel. His eyelashes flutter over his handsome face as he lightly snores, snuggling into me more.

He looks so perfect. I could just watch him sleep for hours.

Ugh I'm such a creep sometimes

I snap out of my thoughts once I realize I probably sound like a total stalker. If someone knew what I was thinking, they'd probably think I was the kidnapper, even though it's the other way around.

At least Josh doesn't watch you sleep while having creepy thoughts about you

"Nicole I can feel you staring at me" Josh mumbles as he finally wakes up.

"I am not staring I am just admiring the view. You look very cute when you sleep."

"That's so creepy. Wanna watch me when I'm in the shower while you're at it?" He asks with a smirk as he starts to get out of bed.

"Definitely not" I say with a giggle as I throw a pillow at him, which he catches right away.

"Your loss" he shrugs before walking into the bathroom.

I get up and walk into my own room so I can shower and get dressed as well. Since I've been behaving maybe Josh will take me out of the house today. It sucks being cooped up here all the time.

I get out of the shower and put some clothes on after drying off. Once I finish putting makeup on, I head downstairs to see if Josh will agree to take me somewhere.

When I get downstairs, Josh has two plates of breakfast already on the table, piled high with delicious looking food. I decide now is the best time to ask Josh before I lose my nerve. He can be scary when he's mad.

"Hey Josh?" I say, walking up behind him and wrapping my arms around his waist.

He turns around and wraps his arms around me, pulling me closer and smiling down at me.

"What's up babygirl?"

"Um I was wondering if maybe we could go somewhere?" I ask shyly, scared that his good mood might change.

In an instant, Josh's face turns more serious. "No."

"But Jos-"

"Nicole, no."

"Why not?"

"Because I can't lose you. I almost lost you last time and I'm not letting it happen again."

"Josh you're not going to lose me by taking me out of the house once in a while."

"No Nicole we're not going anywhere today. Now come sit down so we can eat."

I sigh, feeling more frustrated and disappointed than I did before. He can't keep me locked up in this house forever. I'm angry, but I decide to keep it in and save it for another day.

He's obviously not going to change anytime soon. I'm sure there will be a fight soon, and I can't let him win.

I have to leave.

Extra update this week just because I love you guys. I found out I have to go to a chiropractor for my messed up shoulder. I'm a pretty tall girl and some people at the store needed help getting something off a mounted mannequin so of course I helped, and my shoulder is now more fucked up than ever.
