Chapter 35

"Ooo I love mac and cheese" I say, immediately perking up.

Josh smirks at me as he gets the ingredients out of the fridge. "Oh trust me I know."

I giggle and go to get the pasta out of the cabinet when I feel Josh's hands on my hips.

"Can I help you with something?" I ask jokingly.

"Nope. I just want to hold my beautiful girlfriend" he says before  tilting my head back with his hand and kissing me.

I turn around and wrap my arms around his neck, kissing back. His lips feel so good against mine.

I end up pressed against the fridge with Josh's arms wrapped tightly around me as we kiss, forgetting everything around us.

Josh starts kissing down my jaw and on my collarbones, which tickles my neck, making me giggle.

"You have such smooth skin baby" Josh whispers to me.

We're suddenly and rudely interrupted by the sound of boiling water, which completely ruins the moment. Josh releases me and runs over to the stove to turn the heat down before the water boils over. I look down at the floor and bite my lip to contain my smile. He can be so funny and sweet.

We make dinner without any incident, and spend the rest of dinner just talking. Today was progress in my eyes. Josh didn't get angry when I ignored what he said and went into his office, and we got to cuddle and just relax, then have a nice dinner together.

Just like a normal couple.

But this situation is far from normal.
