Kidnapped By Josh Dun

Chapter 25

I've been standing outside Josh's door for the past 10 minutes now, but I can't bring myself to knock. He's probably still angry at me. I really just want things to go back to the way they were before Tyler and Josh's other friends were here. Sure Josh definitely has anger issues but it was so much better when it was just me and him, before all the recent drama started.

I sigh and shake my head, then take a deep breath and knock on the door.

"Josh?" 

There's no answer so I knock again.

"Josh?"

It's quiet for a few more seconds, then the door opens and Josh comes out.

"Yeah? What is it?"

"Can we please talk?"

"No." He starts to close the door, but I lean on it a little to show him I'm not giving up.

"Please?"

He sighs and pinches his nose, then opens the door wider. "Okay come on in."

I walk in the room, leaving the door open, and sit on the bed by Josh.

He groans. "Dammit Nicole haven't you ever heard of closing the goddamn door?"

He gets up and shuts the door, then sits next to me. "Okay. Talk."

I take a deep breath and start talking. "Josh, are you truly mad at me? Or are you just hurt and upset?"

"Of course I'm upset. You betrayed me."

"Josh I had to tell Tyler the truth. He would've known if I was lying and he would've kept digging around. He's not gonna say anything. Not when you threatened Jenna the way you did" I say quietly.

Josh groans. "So now I'm the monster? Is that it?"

"Josh I never said that."

"That's what it fucking sounds like Nicole. You could've lied and I would've helped you convince him. Tyler didn't have to get hurt."

"You hurt him. You threatened his wife. Not me Josh. I'm not the one who punched him and left blood all over the living room floor. Blood that you didn't even clean."

"I had to do it. Otherwise he would've taken you from m-"

Josh's voice cracks in the middle of his sentence and I can hear small sobs coming from him. He grabs me into a crushing hug.

"I'm so sorry Nicole" he says in the middle of his sobs. "He would have taken you away from me. I couldn't let him take you. No one can take you."

I sit there stunned, not knowing what to say or do. One second he's angry at me and the next he's hugging me and crying. Something's not right with him, and it's making him dangerous for people to be around. I make a decision then and there, with Josh Dun sobbing in my arms. I have to protect the people around me, even if it means breaking my own heart.

I have to get out of here.

Heyyy guys I know it's been like a million years. How many of you caught that Panic! At The Disco reference? So update on my life: I got four new piercings in my ear, an upper lobe set and two cartilage piercings in my left ear. I got my drivers permit a few weeks ago so yay! I got a kitten a couple days ago, he's an all black boy and if you have any name suggestions let me know. Last but not least I pierced my nose a couple days ago and honestly it didn't hurt that much. How have you guys been? I've been taking a forensics and criminology class in school and it's been great. Does anyone else study that stuff? I love you guys so much and have a great night!
