Chapter 34: More Hospitals

Marco's POV

I sat nervously in the hospital room with Star. To retrain her they had to induce her and make her sleep. She laid there peacefully. Her blonde hair flowing around her. She looked beautiful- not that I like her, just you know an observation. Like in science, when you observe something and state facts it doesn't mean you like it, it just means that it is beautiful and that you admire it.... but not like that I swear!

I watched her chest rise and fall as she took gentle breaths. She seemed so relaxed unlike how she was a bit ago.

I sighed. I placed my head into my hands. How did it get to this? Of all our adventures we've never had one this wild. I laughed as I thought of all the times I thought I was a goner, but Star was always there to save me. And now here she laid, incapable of anything. I feel as if this time, I have to save her. From her demonic ex boyfriend who hates my guts.

Seems simple enough.

I shook my head. This is impossible. Maybe we should just leave now, but then Tom will just follow us. We can't escape him.

Star seemed to stir for a second.

I jolted up and looked at her.

Slowly her eyes fluttered. She groaned as she slowly sat up.

"M- Marco?" She mumbled while looking around, "Where are we?"

"The hospital," I answered.

"What?" She panicked, "How?"

Star looked down recognizing she is the one in the hospital bed. In panic she began to rip the tubes out of her and attempt to stand up.

"Star, calm down," I said gently.

"Calm down?" She argued, "Tom is out there hurting people to get to me, I don't have time to lay around and play sick,"

"Yeah but-"

She stood up, "Come on Marco, let's go,"

She marched towards the door.

"Uh, wait Star," I blurted.

"What?" She snapped with her hand on the door handle.

"... Uh, the hospital gown doesn't really cover your, uh, back side,"

She quickly turned around and blushed covering her backside, "Where's my clothes then?"

I grabbed her clothes which were neatly folded by yours truly, and handed them to her.

I turned around while she changed.

"Even if we were to leave, where are we heading?" I asked her.

"To find my wand of course, or Tom," She replied, "Maybe if we're lucky we can find both at once- you can turn around now,"

I turned around. Star was back in her normal clothes.

"Star, what happens if we do find Tom, I can't fight him," I sighed.

Star smiled, "Guess we'll have to see when it comes to that, now let's go!"

Another short chapter, I'm sorry. Anyway, I'm off of school soon for Thanksgiving so I will try to update again then. I do have my AP exams and finals coming up, but tbh I must rather write fanfics on shows made for 8 year olds despite being in high school then studying for a test that could determine wether or not i get college credit.... anyway, I love all of you and I hope you guys are all safe (Especially my minorities right now ✊🏽).
