Attack On Titan - Levi x OC/Reader -COMPLETED-

Trost, Pt. 1

I checked the cannons, "They're loaded all right."

I couldn't believe it. Tonight we finally get the chance to choose the Scout Regiment. Things were a little awkward between Jack and I since last night. It wasn't bad, but it was hard not to talk about it. Sometimes I wanted to confess my feelings, sometimes I wish it didn't happen. The first one occupied my thoughts more than the second. We stood there, the three of us.

"Guys, I'm so excited." Ruthie says. We agree by nodding our heads and smiling. I still couldn't get over the fact that there's no rock over our heads. Those dark ages were gone. Or were they? We suddenly felt the ground shake a little, and I looked around. My eyes grew wider.

"I-It's the Colossus Titan!" I barely whispered.

"Oh my god..." Ruthie looked on the brink of tears. "I'm not ready for this..." She covered her mouth with her hand. Her short brown hair was blown back by the wind, and I could see the terror in her eyes.

"Eren, Mikasa, Armin and the others are over there!" Someone shouted. Jack and I exchanged glances. The Colossus Titan brushed all of them off the side, but they hung on using their 3DMG. The cannons were also knocked off. The Titan kicked open a doorway and sent civilians flying. Titans were about to get through. We knew what to do.

"Prepare for combat!" I ordered them. They looked confused, wanting an actual leader. "Or you can just stay here and give up on life. That's fine also. Turn the cannons around and make sure that the civilians are evacuated safely! Conserve gas, and let's head to war!"

We all let out a battle cry while others stayed there to control the cannons.

We can do this. I thought to myself. With my friends and everyone else, we can win this!

All of us leaped over the wall, flying over to buildings. "Let's spread out a little, stay in groups of three!"

"Six meter Titan up ahead!"

"We'll handle it!" A group called out. They split apart.

The Colossus Titan had disappeared at this point. I watched them as they skillfully got rid of the Titan. I heard a screech. A civilian had been caught by an eight meter Titan. "Please! Someone, help!" I pulled apart with Ruthie and Jack behind me. They split apart from me and took down the Titan's legs. I cut apart the hand that held the woman. She was caught by Jack. I flew over to the back of the Titan's neck, cutting deep enough to where it fell over completely.

"Ma'am, please take caution and follow this road. It'll take you straight to the inner gate." She nodded and thanked us gratefully.

We regrouped, and the ones that went after the six meter made it back safely. "Let's regroup with the others that were close to the colossal Titan." We continued on, saving civilians and killing Titans on our way.

"Oh shit! Abnormal up ahead!" Someone yelled.

"There's a fifteen meter accompanying it!"

"There's an eight and six meter down below!"

"We're gonna die!"

"Everyone, keep calm!" Ruthie said. "Our group will take down the abnormal. Two groups will take a snatch at the fifteen meter. The other two split apart and take either the eight or five. Let's go!"

I saw that everyone went to their destinations. But, I felt something was wrong. Someone was watching us from afar. They were closing in fast, but I shrugged it off. Maybe a few groups that are trying to find others.

We launched ourselves at the running abnormal. "Just like last time guys!" Jack shouted, giving me a smile. They went off, heading towards the feet. Keeping up, Ruthie sliced one foot off. The abnormal fell, also grabbing her. Jack sliced it's hand off and went for the other foot. I jumped off the building, about to land a direct attack to it's neck. Something weird happened, and it turned it's head backwards. The abnormal opened its mouth, welcoming me in.

"Hikaru!" Ruthie screamed, zipping over and pushed me out of the way. The abnormal lunged up and bit off her bottom half. Her eyes widened with pain as blood spewed everywhere, even on my uniform and face. Her other half crashed onto the concrete floor, and she stayed there, bleeding out.

"Ruthie!" I screamed, my eyes wide with shock. It's hand grew back, and so did it's feet. The Titan got up, giving me the devil's stare.

Taking this chance, Jack attached his grapple to the back of the abnormal's neck. He swung over, preparing to cut. The Titan swatted him away like a fly. He was thrown back against a wall, sliding down it, unconscious. He left a trail of blood, and his head started to bleed. It went over to him, picking his limp body up.

"No!" I swung over, slashing at the Titan's arm. I caught Jack, placing him on a roof. "I'll be back. I swear." I whispered to him.

"This is for Jack, Ruthie, and the other people you killed!" I screamed. I attached myself onto the Titan's arm, trailing my swords. I leaped up, slashing out it's eyes with incredible speed. Running fast, I gave it the most intense pain I could ever serve. I slashed and slashed and slashed, losing a lot of gas. Finally, after screaming for what felt like days, I ended it's useless, nonexistent life.

Bloodied, I zipped over to Jack.  I held him the way I did five years ago when he tried to kill himself. I listened intensely for a heart beat. One second goes by. Two seconds. Three. Four. Five. I started giving CPR. Still nothing. I tried, over, and over, and over again.

"No. No. No. No. No. Jack! Wake, up! This isn't funny!" I shook him. I shook his dead, limp, lifeless body.

"You can't... be dead... not now..." I looked into his big hazel eyes. And there I saw, nothing left of my Jack. I stroked his cheek, crying." You said you'd wait for me. You lied... No wait. I did. I lied. You know I hate liars, and now I am one. I promised that I'd be there for you, but today I wasn't. And I got you and Ruthie killed. It's..all my..fault." I hugged him to my chest, blacking out.

I woke up to the smell of lemons.

"Wha-," I started crying, remembering what happened. My mouth was suddenly covered by a hand. I looked up, my gaze meeting dark, navy blue eyes. And there he was. Humanity's Greatest Soldier.
