>>Hey guys! Hikaru back at it again. What did you think of the last chapter? I have more and more plot going to go on, and I'm sorry if I'm taking too long to update. I'm also sorry that Levi isn't showing up right about now, and it's been 5 chapters. BUT.... He should be appearing, which will be either two or three chapters next. And you know how much I write, heh. Anyways, without further ado -- TIME SKIP!<<

"It was beautiful." He murmured as we both were shoved into the same cell.

"Yeah... I never knew that the sky was that endless. Well, now what?"

"We're probably gonna get a small trial, and we should propose then."

"You mean... joining the Cadet Corps?"

"Yeah."

"And from there on, the Scout Regiment." We smiled at each other.

The guard slid us our lunch. It was bread with some weird soup next to it. He also gave us waters.

"Thanks." I said out of instinct. He looked kind of shocked and so did I.

"No problem." He mumbled.

We ate our food in silence.

"I dare you to try the soup first." Jack tells me.

"No way, I'll do it if you do it."

"Then what's my prize?"

"Me doing it?"

"Hmm. Fine, but if this is poisoned it's your fault."

I held the cold soup in my hands and took the slightest sip. I took another. And another. It was all gone in a matter of five minutes.

"That actually wasn't bad. It's cold, but has no taste. I think what was in there was rice and bits of carrot."

"Hmm." He takes a big sip, and then immediately spits it out.

"Eh? What's wrong?"

"I think... something moved in my mouth." Jack had this weird expression on his face, "Like a maggot."

I barfed. So did he.

The guard turned around, and seeing that we threw up in our own cells, he moved us to a different one until ours was clean.

I laid down on the stone bench and so did he. We somehow fit, and Jack asked after awhile, "Hey, if I walked on a human would I be Jesus?"

"Probably not, you moron. Humans are seventy-eight percent water. So that makes you seventy-eight percent Jesus." He stood up, looking me in the eye. "Listen here, if you walked on me you'd be closer to hell than heaven." I glared at him. Jack sighed, lying back down. We continued to stare at the ceiling.

After something about a century passed, the guard came for us. "Lemme guess, we're free?" I said sarcastically. He gave me a weird look and I replied, "Verbal irony. Try it sometime."

We followed him to a tiny courtroom. Gazing around, I saw my parents and Jack's grandpa.

My mother mouthed: 'You're going to be all right.'

I mouthed back: 'Define all right.'

We stood in front of the judge and the jury, formalities came and my lawyer and the jewelry owner's lawyer stood up. They talked in a very formal manner and introduced themselves.

"I would like to call Hikaru Zen up to the stand, your honor."

I walked up.

"I'm just going to put this plain and simple, why did you choose to do this course of action? From what I heard, you seemed to be in preparation for this special occasion. So, why did you choose this path?" The opposing lawyer asked.

This was the question we were waiting for, and it just so happened to be now.

"Sir. We chose this course of action and trained for this day because we would like to join the Cadet Corps. We want to experience the 3DMG for ourselves, and in exchange join the Scout Regiment."

Our family gasped, or what was left of it anyway. They probably thought that we had forgotten all about it, but it was the exact opposite. The judge banged his gravel a few times, ordering silence. Jack and I looked straight at the jury. They whispered from one another, and they stood up. Apparently, the judge was confused because this had never happened before.

"We have made a decision."

"Already?" The judge exclaimed.

"Yes, if they are true to what they just said, we grant them citizenship to the outside. But, it is also their punishment. If they quit or are kicked out at any time, we believe sentencing them to fourteen years in prison will also serve as their punishment."
