Oh, This Can't Be Good

After Everyone had eaten their dinner, and their dessert had been eaten too, Steve paid the bill as everyone waited outside. When Steve exited the door he saw everyone gathered around Catherine, as they got a good look at her ring. Steve watched Catherine as she yawned, which somehow caused him to yawn too.

D: How are you guys tired? You stayed in bed all day.

S: Yah, we didn't really sleep.

K: What did you do?

C: You uh, you don't want to know.

D: Wow, real mature you guys.

S: Oh you're just moody because you're not getting any.

D: What? I-I-I...

S: Oh come on Danny, we all know it's true.

CHK: It's true.

D: I have a child.

C: Grace is 14.

D: Oh whatever, I'm going home. Thank you Steve for dinner.

Chin and Kono stayed and talked to Steve and Catherine for a little longer, then thanked Steve for dinner and went home. Steve grabbed Catherine's hand and walked her back to the car. Once inside Steve leaned over the center console and gave Catherine a kiss.

Steve drove the car home and when they got there he noticed that Catherine was asleep. He laughed to himself and got out of the car. He quietly opened the passenger side door and unbuckled Catherine's seatbelt. He carefully picked her up and carried her inside.

Once they where in the house, Steve looked down to see Catherine awake and giggling.

S: You weren't asleep?

C: No, I was just to full to walk.

S: You're insane.

C: Eh, you still love me.

Steve laughed, then carefully threw Catherine on to the near by couch. She laughed as he got on top of her. Their small make out session became more and more heated, as clothes where thrown on to the floor and the two where left in their underwear.

Steve and Catherine where so into it, that the only thing that stopped them, was someone in the house.

DM: Steven! What are you doing?

S: Uh, hey mom.

C: Hi Doris.

DM: Hi Catherine.

S: Mom, what are you doing here?

DM: I'm back home, permanently.

S: That's great mom, but did no one ever teach you to knock?

DM: Well Steven, maybe if you did it in the bedroom like normal people, you wouldn't have a problem.

S: Whatever mom.

DM: So Catherine, what's new with you?

C: Uh well, Steve and I, we are...

S: We are, enagaged.

DM: What? Really?!

S: Yes, I proposed last night.

DM: Well, congratulations you guys.

Steve told his mom she could sleep in the guest bedroom, and once she was good, he took Catherine upstairs. He was wanting to think about his new fiancée, but all he could think about was why his mother was here.

When he and Catherine got in the bedroom, Catherine went into the washroom to get ready for bed. She surfaced a few moments later wearing a fitted white tee shirt a short pink shorts. Here hair was up in a messy bun. Steve looked at her once shortly. The did a double take on her. Catherine smiled at his look and climbed in bed.

C: Hey. Are you okay?

S: Yah, I'm fine.

C: Steve.

S: It's just my mother. I don't buy her story.

C: Neither do I. But whatever she came for, she obviously thought it was important to see you.

S: Or, she's using me. Again.

C: Let's just agree, that whatever it is, it's probably not good.
