………………. Robbie stopped outside the doors to the dining room.

“Go back and take care of Anya” I looked at him my voice kept as a whisper “do not let anyone tell you anything other than my orders”

“Yes Mo Bhean” he nodded “Will you need me to come back for you?”

“No I don’t think so” I smiled at him “Go back to Anya” he walked away back the way he’d come as I turned the handle on the door and walked into the room. My Father was sat in the carved chair at the head of the table Iagan standing next to him as he spoke. “If I’m not supposed to go anywhere without my Guardian why would you send for him” they both looked at me Iagan dropped his eyes from mine

“Because my dear daughter I need to tell him a few things that pertain to what I need for him to do” Iagan walked round the table as I crossed the floor and pulled out a chair for me to sit in. I smiled at him as I sat down.

“Iagan you may leave and prepare what you must, have your sister help” Iagan put his hand over his chest and bowed to my father “You will come back for Kendra when you are summoned” Iagan walked out and closed the door “He’s a good warrior” My father picked up his cup and took a drink “he’s told me you needed little training”

“I have a lot come to me with instinct” I looked at my Father “Why was I created?” he raised his eye brows

“To the point aren’t we?” he chuckled putting his cup down

“I have visions that are doing nothing but confusing me” I got up and paced the floor

“I’m giving you the memories of the pain inflicted on our family” My father sat back and looked at me “I created my daughter… you. To do the job that the three sons I had could not do”

“Have a child?” I looked over my shoulder at him he pursed his lips “I know you want and immortal pure child and you cannot have one for yourself” I turned and walked slowly back to him

‘How do you know that?” he narrowed his eyes I tapped my head “I did not give you that memory”

I get feelings” I lied and I didn’t know why. He got up and walked over to me

“I do want a child yes a true Immortal not that you are not but a child of and Immortal born from an Immortal” he sat me down “The power in that child alone would be beyond anything you could imagine” he held my hands “I wanted your Brother to have a child with Star Remus and he turned his back and betrayed the Vandes name… he killed your bothers and sided with the family that went back on an agreement” anger flashed in his eyes, they tried to kill me as well… he tried to kill your Father” I looked at him with wide eyes “I’m the one wronged I’m the one mourning the loss of two sons” he looked distraught “and really a third and any chance ofr a child in the family” he looked down tears formed in his eyes as he slowly lifted his head “I created you to help me… you will help me Mo Inion won’t you?” he seemed like a broken man in front of me I felt a wave of guilt and a senses of duty wash over me

‘What must I do Father?” my voice was shaky and nervous He sat up, the tears and sadness gone

“You must leave tonight… things must happen soon” he smiled at me

‘Leave for where?”

“Paris… that is where your Brother is with his immortal” he sneered as he talked about them “I want them gone so theyare no more of a threat.

‘But the child you wanted… surely I can talk to them and make them” he moved fast his hand gripping my face

‘Time for talk is done” his voice filled me with unease “You need to get close to them let them earn your trust”

“But won’t they know who I am”

“No you’re just another girl” she let go of my face and eased himself back into his seat “You’re guardian will be around always but not in plain sight” I looked at him the thought of Iagan not being next to me terrified me “He will be there if they do find out who you are and if things get out of control… but you are to find and go after him” he reached for a file on the table and pulled out a picture and handed it to me a face I knew from my dreams stared back from the paper. “That is Brae Remus… Star’s twin brother He isn’t as powerful as his sister but he is still and Immortal… you are to seek him out and do what women do best and seduce him into loving you and taking you in his bed” I swallowed hard

“But nothing you must do this but feel nothing for him use him as his family used ours wait until you are with his child and then you strike you strike them all down including Seth” his eyes were wild as he said all of this “You are my daughter are you not” I nodded “And you said you would Help me and in doing this you will be showing love and loyalty for your brothers and for your Father “ I looked down “You are a Vandes” he lifted my chin “You are your Fathers Daughter” he got up and kissed my cheeks “I’ll summon your guardian and you’ll leave within the hour… I’ll be near if you need me Mo Inion… but you are strong and you will do what I created you to do” with that he swept from the room leaving me reeling with the fact my fears were coming true.

“Mo Bhean” Iagan’s voice was quiet behind me “We must…” I got up and threw myself into his arms and held him

“I’m scared” I felt tears soak his shirt “It’s not right Iagan” he wrapped his arms tenderly round me and stroked my hair.

“Here is not the Place” He murmured “to many ears… we must go” he let go of me and wiped my eyes with his hand and offered me his arm “You’re the lady of the house act like it in front of others” he led me to the door “for now”…………….
