………. I looked at Brae as we reached the edge of the grinding heaving bodies that seemed to blur and meld into one apart from Iagan whose hands were now on the butt of the girl her was dancing with. I tore my eyes from him.

“So who is it that keeps getting your attention?” Brae’s lips all but brushed my ear

“No one” I shook my head “I… I was just taking it all in” He rubbed his hand over his jaw, there was no denying Brae was extremely good looking.

“So you want to still dance” he grinned linking his fingers with mine “Because hell you have to be the hottest girl in this place right now”

“It is warm” I nodded he started to laugh

“Damn where have you been” he stepped back on to the floor pulling me with him. I felt so uncomfortable as I was jostled by others on the dance floor. “Come here” he beckoned with his finger drawing me closer to him his arm snaked round my waist “Relax and let me lead” I had to smile as he moved literally taking me with him My body pressed tight against his. “You’re a natural” he chuckled I put my arms round his neck as we moved. I glanced over his shoulder and saw Iagan watching his jaw set tight.

“The teacher make it easy” I felt him draw me closer Iagan’s eyes closed and he rubbed the back of his neck

“You maybe want to go sit and talk for a while?”

“I’ve stepped on your toes to many times?’

“No and if you had I wouldn’t care” He let go of me and took my hand and pulled me through the crowd of people and back up the stairs Star was missing from the seat she had been sat in Brae sat down and moved up allowing me to squeeze in next to him. He handed me my drink and draped his arm over the back of the couch “So what are you doing here in Paris?”

“Finding my feet and trying to get myself in the right frame of mind for my new line of work” I took a drink “What about you?”

“I’m here visiting my sister and her soon to be husband” he smiled “Keeping her out of trouble I think is more what I’d call it”

“Shouldn’t her man keep her from harm?” I put my drink on the table next to his. Trying to ignore the tingling sensation on the back of my neck

‘Oh Don’t’ get me wrong he can and he does” Brae‘s fingers trailed over my bare shoulder “but where my sister is trouble’s not normally too far behind” I glanced at the stairs and Saw Iagan with the woman he’d been dancing with reach the top He looked at me his jaw set tight as he saw Brae’s fingers move up my neck. “You have the most beautiful eyes” he looked at me “I hope you don’t mind if I…” he didn’t finish what he was saying before his lips captured mine in a gentle kiss, my body molded to his to the point I could feel his heart beat. He pulled me on to his lap as the kiss depened and his tongue slipped in between my teeth, I felt Iagan’s blood in my veins Corse faster and hotter them my own, but I pushed the thought to the back of my mind, when a moan came from Brae, it felt wrong but it felt good to be held and touched by someone that wasn’t about to reject me.

The air seemed to swirl heavily round us making me think of my Father. Brae’s hands gripped my hips and moved em off him as we jolted apart. His eyes scanning to room as Star ran over.

“Did you feel it?” her eyes were wide

“Yep” he nodded I sat back Star looked at me for a minute and smiled a little “Where’s Seth?”

“He’s on his…”

“I’m here” I felt a hard pull in me as Seth seemed to come from nowhere “I think my Love it’s time to end the night” he sipped his arm round Stars waist as he joined in Brae looking round.

“Nothing’s going to happen here” Brae said pulling me a little closer against his side as if trying to protect me from something. Star looked at him

‘Are you kidding it can happen anywhere he’s not fussy” she shook her head.

“It’s not right” Seth chewed his cheek

“Is it him?” Brae asked

“No it’s stronger which cannot be good” I stole a look at my brother as he stood with the woman he loved in his arms. He truly had the right to be called an Immortal he looked like he’d been chiseled from Marble, woman all around were looking at him and the heat from them only showed his effect on them I looked back down “Brae are you coming?’

“You take star I’ll follow in a short while”

“Brae Please” Star looked at him.

“I’ll be fine Sis” he smiled Seth stopped scanning his eyes falling directly on Iagan

“Brae” Brae looked at me

“Excuse me for a minute” I nodded and watched as he got up and stood next to his Sister and my brother. “What is it?”

“Him…” Seth nodded in Iagan’s direction “Something about him has my father written all over it”

“Take my Sister Now and I’ll make sure if he follows you I’ll kill him” I sucked in a breath at Brae’s words ‘Go” he urged Star and Seth walked across the floor to the stairs descending quickly brae folded his arms over his chest and watch Iagan intently but he stayed with the woman her lips on his neck her hand toying with the front of his pants. The air swirled stronger again making Brae catch his breath and the girl with Iagan jump like she’d been shocked. Brae Narrowed his eyes as Iagan tended to the girl I stood up.

“It’s getting late” He looked at me and his face fell a little

“I’m sorry I forgot…” he took my hands “See my sister and trouble” he shrugged

“Thank you for the dance”

“Let me walk you back home at least”

“No you sounded like you should be with your Family” He let go of one of my hands and rubbed the back of his neck

“I should But I would also like to stay here with you” he stepped closer his hand capturing the one side of my neck “Will you be here tomorrow?”

“I… well”

“I’d like you to be here tomorrow” he murmured against my lips as he kissed me “I’d like to be able to finish what we started” he took me in for a full blown kiss wrapping me in his arms before pulling back “Shall we say around 11?” I nodded “Goodnight then Kendra” he winked and strode across the floor in the footsteps of Seth and Star, I glanced up at Iagan he was back to watching me. I wanted so much to be out of there and in the apartment I closed my eyes and felt like I was lifted and set down again like earlier in the day. I opened my eyes and was standing in the apartment, Anya sleeping on the couch. I braced my hands on the table and took deep breath.

“Well It looks like you are more special that I even knew” I jumped at the sound of my father’s voice “It took your bothers months to master how to get from one place to the next and for you mere days” I looked at him “You did well Mo Inion” he walked round me “I smell him all over you”

“Yes Father” I nodded “Seth was there and he could sense you around”

“Really” My Father stopped walking as I nodded “I wasn’t around in there”

“Maybe he sensed you in the city” I offered

“Hmmm maybe” he nodded “I’ll return home so not to put you in danger” he held my face in his hands “You make me proud and you’d have made your brothers proud” he let go of my face and placed one hand on my stomach “You didn’t bed him tonight did you”

‘No we’re in the club and that is when Seth walked in and I thought it better to leave” I looked down

‘Wise choice” he nodded “Kendra you are trusted to do my will while I’m not here” I nodded “Good” he kissed my forehead and vanished. I walked over to the couch and pulled a blanket over Anya before walking to my room… I was scared that Iagan wasn’t going to make it home in one piece…………..
