…………………. “Hey give her a minute” Brae stood up from where he was kneeling by Anya who was out cold.

“She’s my sister do not tell me what to do Immortal” Brae pulled his knife from the table. I got up and got in between them.

“Enough both of you” Iagan looked at me “Brae let him by his sister” Brae stood up and bumped his shoulder with Iagans as he passed by him

“A Word my lady” Iagan gripped my arm

“Hey Whoa there” Brae stalled and Seth got to his feet

“It’s alright” I pulled my arm free of Iagan and walked into my room Iagan bent his head and kissed Anya on the forehead I walked to the window in my room and picked up the shawl that was on the window seat and wrapped it round my shoulders.

“You attacked my sister for what reason” Iagan strode over to me and caught me between the wall and his body “You have been so lost and angry this afternoon it’s killed me waiting for you to return. I told you that you shouldn’t go alone and now you bring back the three people you’ve been trained to kill… How the hell am I to protect you”

“You don’t need to they are not the ones in the wrong” I shook my head

“Really what have I been training you for”

“Iagan please I can’t explain now but you have to leave or you will die” He blinked at me “I do not want to see you hurt”

“It’s him isn’t it the immortal in there he’s got into you and he’s twisted things” I shook my head Iagan held his hands either side of my head “Then why else would you send me away”

“Because I love you” I croaked “You have to leave Anya put a death sentence on all of us”

“How did she do that?” he shook his head.

“She came to see me” Seth was at the door “I’m sure as a protector you should not have your Mistress pinned to a wall and to be honest I take offence to you treating my sister that way”

“Seth it’s alright” I looked at him he folded his arms

“I’d be more bothered about your own sister”

“Seth” I ducked under Iagan’s arm

“Kendra what do you mean Anya put a death sentence on all of us” Iagan ignored Seth and caught my arm “and why would she go to them”

“Because she thought she was doing the right thing by you and Kendra” Seth walked into the room “and in doing so she put Kendra in danger from firstly us and stopped what was supposed to happen between Brae and Kendra” I looked down “I take it you know what she was supposed to do” Iagan nodded curtly.

“She was to be your Fathers Whore and sleep with him”

“Firstly do not call my sister a whore for it’s the furthest thing from what she is” Seth flexed his fingers “You need to learn some respect Warrior”

‘Teach me then immortal” Iagan stepped round me “I’ll happily take your head for a prize”

“NO MORE” Heat surged from my hands pinning them both to opposite walls “Seth you will not touch MY Guardian. Iagan do not try my brother” I released both of them “I want you all to leave and I will face my father”

“Like hell” Iagan stepped up to me

“Kendra he’s right you cannot do it” Seth shook his head “I can save you” I tipped my head and looked at him

“Do I need saving… I failed in what I was supposed to do because I found out the truth but I was willing to kill and be used by him… I want all of you to be safe and leave take Anya and keep her safe, You have a life with Star don’t let Gregor Vandes ruin that I will take him out”

“What is happening” Iagan looked from me to Seth I moved from the two of them and walked to the closet and pulled out my fighting clothing and my dagger

“MY sister is in love with someone else” Seth sighed trying not to look at me “she cannot conceive a child with anyone but the man she truly loves and who is part of her”

“But she was to have a child with Brae”

“What my Father fails to remember is we as immortals are either bound to the one we love with a mark or with blood… I am bound to star with both from us being children” She is bound to someone without either knowing it… Brae would have been nothing more than…” He paused “in his words a roll in the hay” He took a deep breath my father will know soon that she hasn’t lay with him and then he will come for her and all in his way. I’ve seen in her mind that he’s told her that this is her last chance to do what he wants and forget what her heart really desires” Iagan listened as I changed pushing the dagger into the sheath at my chest.

“My Heart doesn’t matter” I looked at both of them as I pulled my cloak round my shoulders “That’s been made apparent to me more than once I’m nothing to the one I want” I swallowed not making eye contact with Iagan. “Do not follow me if I fail I want you to know I tried… if I succeed I’ll return” I looked up slowly a tear running down my cheek “I want t be free of the pain I have and I can be if I help you all to be free” I closed my eyes holding the image of Seth and Iagan side by side in my mind as I will myself back home to my Father’s house…………………
