……………. “I’m ready for you to lose it right here and right now” I struggled against him willing the fire to my hands “Ah now you see we got a nod to what you’re are capable of” he walked me over to a chair and pushed me down into it and walked round putting his hands on the arms and leaning down to my face “Try it and one of us will kill you where you sit”

“I don’t’ know what you mean” I begged

“LAIR” Seth Yelled “YOU REEK OF MY FATHER” I started to shake my head and looked at Brae his arms tightly folded over his chest as star watched me her head inclined a little as Seth yelled

“If you’re not a Vandes then how do you have this” he held up his hand my eyes got wide my ring was on his little finger, I must have dropped it in the apartment last night. “We know who you are DO NOT LIE” I closed my eyes He gripped my arms and yanked me out of the chair his eyes burning into me.

“It’s true” I looked at him and took a deep breath “My Name is Kendra Vandes… your father is my father, I’m your sister” Seth stepped back a little but kept his arms on mine.

“You were sent to kill us right?” Star said from her point across the room next to her brother

“I’m here for Brae” I looked at her

“Oh I know all about you needing a sperm donor” Brae shook his head and faced me “Hell for once I’d like a girl that likes me”

“I do” I smiled at him “You’re sweet and handsome and you’re truly different” Star stepped in front of him as if to protect him he rubbed her arms absently

“You need Brae to have a child for my father” Seth snapped “Do not try to play sweet and innocent sister”

“I’m not playing” I looked at Seth “Do you know when I came to be… do you know what I’ve been through”

“We know you’ve only been around for six weeks and you share blood with a warrior” Star walked across the room to stand with Seth “We know you have a protector that is mortal”

“Have you been spying on OUR father” I looked at Seth “He said you’d come after him” Seth raised an eye brow I face him “You want him gone like you wanted Cole and Marco dead because you were threatened by them… I could feel my anger growing in me “You burned up your own brother you beheaded Marco”

“Hell that son of a bitch deserved it” Star butted in I rounded on her

“You want me to kill Brae and let you go through what it feels like to lose your Brother… the pain at knowing they suffered for greed at the hands of their own brother” I hand slapped my face sending me to the floor Seth over me.

“Speak to her like that again and my blade will take the head from your body”

“Seth” Brae pulled him back “I know what she’s here for but remember what we were told” Brae turned his back to me “She’s drip fed whatever Gregor wants her to see… Show her the other side to the story”

“I want her gone” Seth hissed at him “She’s a threat to us”

“She’s not a threat against the three of us” Star put her hand on Seth’s arm “Brae’s right you’re being blinded by your anger to Gregor she’s an innocent in this” star looked at me with pity in her eyes “She’s nothing more than a game piece to Gregor” Star helped me to my feet “I doubt that he’d keep you alive if you had of gotten my bother to knock you up”

“What?”

“If Brae had gotten you pregnant” Seth sighed Taking my arm and leading me back to the armchair Brae wrapped his arms round me from behind as Star freed my hands allowing us to sit down “You need to see the truth”

“I know the truth” I struggled as Brae held me in the seat

“You know what Gregor wants you to know” Star shook her head as Seth sat on the table in front of me and rubbed his hands together

“This is going to hurt” Seth pressed his palms to my temples and a scream echoed round the walls as white hot heat seared into my head along with a blinding light before darkness…………………
