…………. “Father Don’t” I gasped as I heard the thud of Iagan hitting the floor “He’s done nothing wrong”

“He’s distracting you from your duty”

“He isn’t father I swear to you he feels nothing for me” I pleaded “I’ll do whatever it takes Iagan is my guardian I cannot face Seth alone I cannot take on three immortals single handed” My Father gripped my arm and hauled em to my feet

“You let Remus take you to bed and you become pregnant with his child tonight” his grip burned my flesh on my arm “We must kill them” his eyes seemed to blaze red as he spoke “We need the child” He seemed like he was possessed by the sheer want and longing for an immortal child not a creation of his making. I trembled with fear at the look alone. He looked down at me “You have to be tougher my daughter” his eyes returned to normal and his grip lessened “Forgive me for the pain I’ve caused you” he ran his fingers over the blistered flash on my arm “I fear for you that is all and we have to strike them before they destroy us” he soothed his voice becoming almost melodic as the blistering and burnt flesh healed under his hand “Forgive me my daughter…” the door knocked

“Mo Inion” Anya opened the door She bowed her head to my Father “Forgive the interruption” she looked at me “You have a caller… it’s Brae Remus” I inhaled sharply My Father beamed

“Tell him she is dressing and will be out shortly” My Father ordered Anya Bowed her head again and left the room. “You see he’s returned I knew he would” I looked at him trying to hide my disbelief “Dress and seduce the Immortal” he kissed my forehead “I’ll return tomorrow” with that he disappeared I dropped to my knees on the floor my entire body shaking and reeling with what had happened.

“Kendra” Iagan’s voice sounded from the door before his arms went round me holding me tight. I looked at him

“Are you alright?” I swallowed the lump in my throat that threatened to choke me

“I’ll be fine” he winced “Kendra”

“I have to do what my father wishes” I pulled away from Iagan “I have to stop putting those close to me in danger” I dropped the towel and reached for the robe slipping the silk onto my shoulders Iagan’s hands were on my shoulders.

“Kendra please look at what he’s done….”

“I will not have the blood of those I care for deeply on my hands” I shook my head “If he ends my life first them do be it” I pulled away from him and walked from the bathroom Anya was talking to Brae in a polite trying to not feel awkward way. “Sorry I was showering” I smiled at Brae praying my face and feelings would not betray myself to him “I did not expect to see you again”

“Well it takes a lot to put me off” Brae Laughed “I’m sorry for my brother-in-law he lacks in the tact department” He walked over to me “I want to make it up to you?” Iagan walked from the bedroom “Oh… Er…” I looked round my eyes getting wide “I’m sorry I didn’t’ realize” He coked his head

“This is Anya’s brother he came to visit his sister” I said quickly “Iagan this is a friend of mine Brae”

“Oh so he shows his face” Iagan walked across the floor Anya looked at me like a deer in headlights “You upset my friend last night”

“And that’s why I’m here today to apologize to her” Brae put his hands on his hips and looked as if he was sizing up Iagan

“Iagan” My tone was harsh “If you can’t be civil than leave the room… I was fine when I returned home” Iagan raised an eye brow but didn’t say anything more “If you’ll give e a few minutes to get some clothes on we can take a walk” I looked back to Brae who was watching every flinch and breath of Iagan “Brae”

“Sorry” he smiled at me as I caught his attention “Sure get dressed I’ll try to make up for last night’s disaster” I walked over to him and pushed up on my toes and kissed him I could feel the blood rage in me and the stares from Iagan. “Well damn” He swallowed as I walked away from him

“Iagan a word please… Anya can you keep Brae company for me” Anya smiled and nodded as I waited for Iagan to walk to my room. I closed the door my hand shaking as I closed it. “Are you wishing for me to be killed is that the idea of you showing yourself and coming from my bedroom” I could feel the heat and flame licking at my finger tips I was so mad with Iagan

“I wanted him to see the man who has to watch as you let him do what he wants to you” Iagan stepped up to me “I wanted him to see what he’s doing to me”

“You’re a fool Iagan… in open breath you push me away in the next you seem jealous you cannot have it both ways” I shed the robe Iagan’s’ eyes ran over my body, He reaction all too clear in the reaction of his body. I picked up a simple dress that Anya had laid out for me earlier and put it on “I’m nothing but a pawn in a game of power Iagan I get it now and I get that you and I cannot be… you are my Guardian nothing more” the words al but choked me and didn’t sound convincing as I grabbed my shoes and walked from the room. I walked over to Anya.

“I think your Brother might need a drink” her face dropped a little as I looked at Brae “I’m ready”

“Well lets go then” he beamed at me I went to the door he looked at Anya who was chewing her lip nervously “Thank you for the chat you’re a sweet person” Anya’s knees buckled a little as I walked out into the hall, she realized that io was walking out with a killer………………….
