Chapter 10

River's pov.

Me and Mike were on our phones minding our own business. When somebody knocked on our dorm room door. Mike got up from his seat on his bed and walked to the door. When he opened the door, Rebecca pushed passed him and stomped into our dorm. She looked angry.

"HOW COULD YOU GUYS NOT TELL ME???!!!" She yelled pissed.

"Tell you what?" Mike asked.

"THAT IT'S OCEAN'S BIRTHDAY!!!" She yelled like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

Wait did I here her right? It was Ocean's Birthday and she didn't tell us?!

"Wait it's Ocean's Birthday?" I asked getting angry.

How could she not tell us?

"You guys didn't know?" She asked calming down.

"NO HOW COULD SHE NOT TELL US??!!!" I asked getting angry

I got up from my spot on my bed and was about to go to Ocean's room, when I felt a hand wrap around my wrist I looked to see Mike.

"Dude calm down, she might have a reason" He explained

I nodded and calmed down a little bit. I walked to the girls dorm. With Rebecca and Mike following me. I slammed the door open to see Ocean wrapped in blankets with ice cream in her hands, and her computer playing a show. She looked at us with a startled expression.

"Hey guys" She said looking back down at her computer.

I marched over to her and slammed her computer closed, she looked up at me and raised an eyebrow.

"What?" she asked

"Why didn't you tell us it was your birthday?" I asked in a calm voice

She looked at Rebecca then at me.

"Look i'm sorry I didn't tell you guys, it's just I don't like getting presents it makes me feel like i'm using you guys for money" She explained

I stared at her and she stared at me, I broke the eye contact and went to her dresser I grabbed a random outfit and threw it at her she caught it and looked at me like I was crazy.

"Be ready in a hour" I explained leaving.

We got back to me and Mike's dorm.

"Alright we have an hour to plan Ocean's party what should we do?" I asked

"We should all go and buy her a presents then, we can go to the Santa Monica pier" Mike recommended.

"That sound's good" Rebecca said

"Wait remember Ocean said she does't have a phone how about we all chip in and buy her a phone, I will make her Strawberry Shortcake, and also you guys should buy her a card" I said

"Sound's perfect" Rebecca said, and Mike nodded.

They left and I stated making dessert.

"We are back" Mike and Rebecca said coming in

"Alright did you get it?" 

"Yup and I put all of our numbers in the phone, all you have to do is sign the card" Mike said

I nodded and we waited for Ocean.

We were all sitting on my bed when Ocean walked in. Once she saw us she smiled.

"Shortcake for my Shortcake" I said once she reached me.

She laughed and took the pan. She looked at the card Mike handed her, and instantly smiled. Rebecca handed her the phone that was neatly wrapped. She unwrapped it and her eyes widened.
