I'm Not So Bad.

Chapter 9

Oceans Outfit on top.

Ocean's pov.

Today is my birthday, I haven't told anyone because I don't want anything for my birthday. Whenever I get a present it makes me feel needy and I don't want people thinking that I need presents. So right now I am sitting on my bed surrounded by blankets, and ice cream. I'm also watching The Office reruns on Netflix. I was in the middle of a episode, when Rebecca walked in, she looked at me and smiled.

"What's the occasion?" She asked raising an eyebrow.

I shrugged mumbling "Nothing" Still watching my Office episode.

"There has to be something bothering you, I mean you have been in the same spot all day"

"Nothing's wrong, this is just how I usually celebrate my Birthday"

"WAIT IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY???!!!" She exclaimed

"Yup" I said popping the "p"

"Why didn't you tell us?"

I shrugged, and started eating more ice cream. I heard her slam the door close, which meant she left. A few minutes later I was about to take a bite of my ice cream, when the dorm room door slammed open. I looked up to see 3 angry people as in 3 people I mean. River, Mike, and Rebecca. 

"Hey guys" I said looking back down at my computer.

Suddenly the computer was slammed closed I looked up to see River, looking angry, hurt, and confused.

"What?" I asked

"Why didn't you tell us it was your birthday?" River asked

I looked over at Rebecca and glared at her, she just shrugged. I looked at River again.

"Look i'm sorry I didn't tell you guys, it's just I don't like getting presents it makes me feel like i'm using you guys for money" I explained

Me and River had a stare down. Finally River looked away and went to my dresser, and he pulled out an outfit and threw it at me. I caught it and raised an eyebrow at River.

"Be ready in a hour" He explained.

They all left and I looked at my outfit, it was surprisingly nice. I went to the bathroom to get ready, I took a quick shower. Then I did my usual makeup which is just some lip gloss, and Mascara. I put my outfit on, and decided to let my hair air dry. I left my dorm and went to the boys dorm I was about to knock when I noticed the door was open ajar so I just walked in. When I went inside I saw my friends sitting on a bed all holding different things. River was holding a pan with Strawberry Shortcake in it.

"Shortcake for my Shortcake" River said smirking.

I laughed and took the pan. I looked at Mike to see him holding a card, I smiled and took the letter and I read it.

Happy Birthday to one of our favorite girls.

I smiled after I read it, this is already the best Birthday I have ever had, and it just started. I looked at Rebecca to see her holding a perfectly wrapped box. I took it and unwrapped it, once I saw what was in there I started shaking my head.

"I can't take this it's too expensive" I said.

I felt my eyes watering.

"No, it's your gift that we all chipped in for you, and it already has all of our numbers on it" River explained.
