I'm Not So Bad.

Chapter 17

Ocean's pov.

I was currently at work and serving a customer. When all my friends walked in and by friends I mean River, Mike, and Rebecca. They waved at me and I waved back, giving them the 1 min sign. I finished with my customer's table and put the order in the kitchen for the chef. We got a new chef named Brian, he never talks so we don't really know each other. I walked over to my friends table and smiled.

"Hey guys" I said once I got there.

"Hey" They greeted just as happily.

"So what's up?" I asked

"Oh we came so we could hang out for your lunch break" Mike explained

"My lunch break isn't for another 30 min" 

"That's okay we can wait, it's not like we have anything to do" River said with a smile.

"Alright cool, would you guys like something to eat?"

"We'll wait for you before we eat" Rebecca explained.

"Well I could get your orders right know, then bring them to you during my lunch break"

"Sure sounds cool, we will all have our usual's" River said.

I nodded and smiled writing down their usual's. I walked back to the counter, and worked on restocking. I had a few more minutes before my break and I was starving. I looked over at my friends to see them talking in hushed voices.

I wonder what they're talking about.

I looked at the clock to see it was time for my lunch break. So I grabbed all of our meals and brang them to my friends.

I put everyone's meals in front of them, then I sat down next to River.

"Hi guys" I said 

They all said hi, and then we started eating. After a few minutes Mike decided to ask us all a question that made me feel uncomfortable.

"Who does everyone have a crush on?" Mike asked all of us.

"I have a crush on Mike" Rebecca said

"And I have a crush on Rebecca" Mike said

"No duh you guys have a crush on each other, you two are dating" River said to them.

I chuckled and shook my head.

"Ya ya so who do you have a crush on Ocean?" Mike asked

"Oh....umm....somebody"

"Somebody?" Rebecca asked

"Yeah somebody"

They all looked at me like I was crazy, I just shrugged and took a bite of my sandwich.

"So.....who do you like River?" I asked curios.

He looked down and blushed.

"Awe you're blushing" I gushed

"Shut up" He muttered

I laughed and shook my head.

"Alright guys I have to get back to work" I said getting up.

I grabbed all of our plates and walked to the kitchen and put the dishes in the sink. I went back to the counter to see my friends getting up and walking up to me. 

"What's up?" I asked once they reached the counter.

"We almost forgot to pay you" River said handing me money.

"Oh thanks I forgot" I smiled shyly.

I put the money in the cash register, and was about to hand River his change when he stopped me.
