I'm Not So Bad.

Chapter 30

River's pov

1 week.

1 depressing week.

That's how long it's been since Ocean broke my heart into a million peaces. I haven't been taking care of myself at all. Mike and Rebecca make me eat. I stared at the wall in front of me, with an emotionless face. I have been crying all week, this is the first day I haven't cried. 

I miss her so fucking much.

You know what hurts more?

I love her so fucking much.

I got up from my chair, i'm gonna go for a walk around campus. I guess. I walked out of my dorm and slowly walked around for a while, with my head down. All the confidence I once had, is gone. I bumped into somebody, I was about to apologize but they beat me to it.

"I'm so-" But they stopped talking.

I looked at the person. To see a broken Ocean. Her hair was in a messy bun, she was pale, and all the light from her eyes was gone. 

This isn't the Ocean I new.

"Hi" I said sadly

"Hey"

Wait, she's talking to me?

"H-how are you?" I stuttered surprised.

"I'm...fine I guess, you?"

"Same I guess"

"I should get going" She was about to walk away but I stopped her.

"Wait Short Cake"

I called her old nickname before I could stop myself.

"Yes River?" 

"Umm...I just wanted to tell you...that I will fight for you...to come back to me" 

"River you cheated, I don't date cheaters"

"I didn't cheat" I mumbled to myself.

I couldn't help it I started crying. She looked at me sadly, and walked up to me. She surprised me by wrapping her arms around me

"Maybe one day" She whispered.

She quickly walked away from me. I stood there shocked as I watched her retreating figure. I shook my head and decided to go to our old spot. I hopped on my bike and drove off.

I stopped at the clearing and walked down the trail. I walked up to the side of the cliff I stared at the view for a while, when my phone started ringing, I didn't want to answer it but something told me to. So I did.

"Hello?"

"Dude were are you?" Mike asked sounding panicked.

"Man settle down whats wrong?"

"It's Ocean" He chocked

"What? What's wrong?" 

His next words made my world fall apart.

"She's in a coma"

"What?"

"Come to the hospital Rebecca will explain the rest"

I hung up the phone and ran to my motorcycle.

I stopped in front of the hospital and ran in. I saw the receptionist, I quickly walked up to her.
