Episode 37-> Hungry, Hungry Ninjas

→ [START]

Not looking back at Kiba and practically dying of embarrassment, I hit the bottom of the staircase and curtly cut left towards the kitchen. I stumbled through the kitchen door in a flurry of wind milling arms and fumbling legs. With all the approaching noise everyone's gaze was in my direction by the time I stumbled in.

So, after I had squeaked in horror like someone who just got jumped while taking a shower, I turned my gaze to my toes and made a beeline for the closest adjacent wall.

Watching me do so everyone must have been bewildered by my peculiar action.

With the wall now in front of me, I stopped and rested my heated forehead against it. I shut my eyes tightly which made my face look pained. I covered my blushing face with my hands and whimpered miserably.

Could I have sounded any more suspicious!? Well, by gosh I think not! Now Kiba knows!

(>//<)o Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.

I mentally berated myself, and to boot, I physically knocked my moronic skull with a fist. Not my fist, Naomi's fist. She had approached me out of concern. Now she had more concerns...

"Uh..." Naomi yanked her hand away from me giving me a weird look, "Is everything alright?"

I sighed and rubbed my head. We definitely don't need to go there so a subject change is in order.

(-w-) "Where are we going, Naomi?"

"We will go wherever the breeze takes us." She said mysteriously and wiggled her fingers in my face. I rolled my eyes, forgetting momentarily, and grinned at her foolishness.

Kiba came downstairs just then and smirked at me all-knowingly.

Darn.

I sunk into a chair with a gloomy sigh. Not only do I have Naomi stalking my romantic advancements but I have Kiba observing me to figure out who I like in the house. If those two teamed up-

I shuddered mentally at the mere thought.

"I guess I'll just call mum's-" I began to say to Naomi and got up from my seat. Naomi suddenly poked me in the collarbone causing me to fall back into the chair. I looked up at her and she had a pouty, disapproving look on her face. I rolled my eyes, what now...

"Is that all you have been feeding these poor, animated souls?" She asked while petting Naruto's chin. How she got him in a headlock? No one saw. Naruto shoved Naomi off of him. It didn't matter to her.

"What's wrong with the food from the machine?" I asked crossing my leg over the other, "I've been eating from it almost every day since summer began. It's not like it's going to kill them." My mum's catering company was legit af! Meals on fleek!

Naomi giggled a my apparent confusion, "It's better in The Bahamas, girl. How can we prove that if you don't get them any native food! Stop being lazy and make something for them!"

I stared at her blankly.

"Mum's restaurant IS native. She is a Bahamian chef after all-"

Naomi gave me a pouty glare and I groaned.

"Man but- Why would I even need to waste extra stuff to cook when food is daily and freshly prepared?" See! This is what she does! She turns me into a whiny brat! The pouts! She knows I can't say no!

Naomi leaned in close to me and she gave me a hard glare wondering how I didn't figure out she was giving me advice to win over Shikamaru with some bomb ass home cooked meals but I wasn't getting it.
