Chp 2: Bad Questions

Rianne's pov:

Okay, things were extremely awkward between Taylor and I after our talk. I really wished he wouldn't have talked about it. I kept accidentally catching him looking at me weirdly but cutely while I was playing air hockey with Bali down stairs. She pulled me off to the side and asked me what the talk was about. So I told her basically everything. She nodded and said "It will be okay. He's just...confused."

I smiled and we went back out into the game room where Marie and Kay played air hockey and the boys were shooting hoops.

"Who wants to go out to the beach?" Cameron asked. We all agreed and told the parents that we were going to the beach. Me and the girls went up to our room. I put my hair up in a messy bun. I slipped on a red and white hollister bikini.

"You look fabulous!" Marie said. I thanked her and looked in the mirror. I did look good, but I did not want Taylor thinking I looked pretty. We walked out and I saw Jack. He looked back at me and waved.

Okay, I will admit Jack was really cute. It was his eyes that really made me look at him. Bali walked over to Cameron and started talking to him. They started to laugh. I was really happy for them.

We walked out to the beach. All the boys ran out and dived into the refreshing water. I went with Kay and layed in the sand rubbing tan oil on my stomach and the rest of my body. I wanted to tan a bit. Marie and Bali splashed each other in the water. All the boys were laughing. I closed my eyes and felt the warm sunlight on my skin. I talked to Kay.

"Nash and I have been talking," She said.

"Good for you. Do you think he likes you?"

"At this point, I don't know. Hopefully it will change though."

"I have a feeling it will, Hun!"

Suddenly, I felt a pair of strong arms pick me up off the sand. I gasped and screamed. I thought it was Taylor, but when I opened my eyes I saw Jack. I laughed and tried to shake myself out of his arms.

"Jack, let me go!" I laughed. He was running with me towards the water as I screamed "No!"

"Not going to! Stop laying down and come have some fun," He smiled down at me but I still tried to squirm away. He was really strong. Then he dropped me into the water. Luckily, my hair didn't get very wet. Jack laughed and I gave him a "playful" hit on his back.

"Sorry babe!" He said. Did he just call me "babe"? I blushed and before I could run back to lay in the sun he caught my arm and begged me to stay.

"Fiiinnneee! But please don't get my hair wet."

"Okay," He winked at me and we ran around. He was adorable. Part of him was shy, but he always was giving me these really cute looks. I kept looking back at Taylor who was hanging with Cameron. Taylor seemed upset, but if he was upset about what happened an hour ago and our talk, he should remember that he made that decision. Not me. Jack tapped me on the back and I asked him what was up.

"So umm, are you single?" He asked.

"Yes actually. Why do you ask?"

"Oh, I was just wondering. You know, you should text me sometime."

"Yea," I said and put my number into his phone. "You realize we just met each other Jack.."

"What are you trying to say?" He asked. he crinkled his eyebrows which was extremely adorable. He looked like a little kid and his mom just told him he couldn't have the toy he wanted.

"I just think we should get to know each other better before we're talking about each others love lives."

"Sorry,"

"It's okay."

I kind of regretted saying that. It's not like Jack was being a jerk. Now he probably thought I hated him. I swear I didn't. Jack walked back towards the house with the rest of us and told me that we could text tonight. It sounded fine. I just went inside and cleaned up in the shower. I changed into a black and green Aeropostale shirt, jean shorts and some sandals. I put on some mascara and walked downstairs seeing rest of the boys.

Jack's pov:
I kept yelling at myself inside. Why would I ask Ri if she was single at this point. Seriously, she probably thought I was a freak. I honestly kind of liked her but what did she think? I was hoping that Taylor wasn't mad at me. I heard about their talk but he still kind of had feelings for her. I sat on the couch and when I saw Rianne, I patted the couch as if saying "Come sit by me". She came and sat down. Taylor was sitting on the other side of Rianne and next to him was Nash, then Kay and Marie. The rest were upstairs or somewhere. I turned on the television and all of us watched random shows for the next half hour or so.

Taylor tapped me on the back and mouthed "What's going on with you two?"

"Nothing," I said.

He just rolled his eyes. When we were done watching television, all of us guys went up to our room.

"So Jack, what's going on with you and Rianne?" Nash smirked. I decided to mess with him about Kay.

"She's cute, but she said we should get to know each other better. And I know there's something between you and Kay!"

"Oh shut up, jack. But Kay is pretty." He blushed. "I think I could possibly have some relationship with her."

"That's good."

I couldn't help it, but I really liked Ry. Taylor couldn't change it.
