Chp 18: Together again.

Taylor's pov:

I didn't get it. I thought that this is what she wanted. I thought she wanted for me to forgive...and kiss her again. But our lips had barely touched and she pulled back almost falling back off of the piano bench. My heart sunk a million miles. I didn't know what to say. It was kind of embarrassing actually. She looked at me and her face was bright red. I rubbed her arm and she sat back up moving a little closer to me.

"Why did you pull back?" I stuttered while asking her.

"I-I'm sorry Taylor. I just got scared."

"Why would you be scared?"

I almost got mad that she would be mad to kiss me, but I didn't. I had to be understanding/ I didn't want us to argue anymore. I should just let her explain.

"This has nothing to do with Jack, but I was just afraid that it wouldn't feel right. I love you and I just got scared that it wouldn't be the same."

"You don't have to feel that way. I'm sorry, Rianne. Maybe I should just wait a little bit."

She nodded and I wrapped her in my arms. She rested her head on my shoulder kissing me lightly on my cheek and neck, but not my lips. I felt her warm breath on my neck. She fell asleep in my arms and I carried her up to her bed. I remembered when we were real little, our parents would carry us up to our bed and we would snuggle and play "house" pretending we were the mommy and daddy and her dog Zoe was our daughter. I laughed at the thought and wrapped the blanket around her in her bed. She looked so peaceful. I stroked her hair and then kissed her nose. I didn't kiss her lips. I had to respect that from her even though I still didn't understand why she was scared. I left the room and waited for her to wake up.

I went downstairs. Bali and Cameron were on the couch. Cameron grabbed her and started tickling her. She threw her head back in laughter and he kissed her. It really reminded me of Rianne. I ran over to them and hopped in the middle of them and laughed.

"Stop it lovebirds!" I laughed. Bali and Cameron laughed and I let them sit together again.

"How are you and Rianne?" Cameron asked.

I told them everything and they just nodded and listened intensely. Once I finished speaking, Cameron spoke.

"I'm glad you guys are okay. Maybe you should take her out tonight."

"Yes maybe." I said.

"I think it's cute that she fell asleep in your arms." Bali added it. She oohed and awed. I blushed and saw Rianne come down. She was in some of those girly boxer shorts things, a tank top and her hair in a braid. I gave her a hug and then took her back up to her room. I decided that me and her should maybe just drive around tonight for fun. Just drive around the city. We walked up to her room. I turned around so she could change into a different outfit. She finished and I turned around. She wore a wet seal Minnie Mouse crop top and red high waisted shorts. She put on some light mascara, eyeliner and foundation and side braided her hair. I complimented her outfit to make her feel a little bit better. She smiled.

"I was thinking we could maybe drive around tonight just for fun."

"Where are we going?" She asked sitting by me. I told her that it was no specific place. We could just do something instead of staying at the house. She nodded yes and we got up deciding to go. After all, it was almost eight o'clock and we should leave. I hopped in my small black car and we headed off. We decided to stop at a near by basketball court. She found a basketball just by the side of the hoop and picked it up. We played for a while, but she kept laughing because she wasn't that good. I picked her up off her feet and she reached the hoop throwing a the ball in. We weren't even playing basket ball for half of the time. We were doing a whole bunch of competitions.

"Let's see who can balance the longest on the ball." She said. I agreed. She first stood on the ball and was balancing for about five seconds. She then started to wobble and threw her arms over her head. She was about to fall down off the ball, but I caught her. She laid in my arms staring into my eyes. Her beautiful green eyes. I leaned down and kissed her. This time, it was a real kiss. She kissed back. Life was perfect as she wrapped her arms around my neck. I loved her.
