Rianne's pov:
Fourteen days left. Wow, this didn't really seem real. Officially two weeks left. I got up and went to the bathroom to fix myself up a little bit. I put on my hollister dresss that Taylor got for me and then decided just to brush my hair and put it up in a messy bun. I applied some eyeliner and mascara and decided I looked okay. I went downstairs and saw Taylor sitting there.
"Good morning," I said.
"Morning," He got up and gave me a hug. I had waited two days already for him to tell me the surprise. I still had to wait two more weeks and the thought killed me. I couldn't help it.
"Are you sure you don't want to tell me the surprise is?"
Taylor shook his head and smirked at me. I couldn't resist his cuteness even when he was keeping secrets from me. I ran my hand through his messy yet adorable hair. He still wouldn't tell me.
I gave up finally and the smell of breakfast drifted to my nose. I walked away from Taylor and went to the kitchen. I served myself some scrambled eggs, bacon and some toast. I spread some jelly on it and then sat down at the table.
Everyone else came downstairs and got themselves breakfast.
"Who made breakfast this morning?" I asked. Nash's hand shot up and he shoved the last piece of toast in his mouth. Apparently, he made it and then went to go take a shower.
"It's delicious," I said. He thanked me and then put his plate in the sink. Taylor interupted our conversation by changing the subject. He mentioned my birthday which I totally forgot was in four days. I would be turning eighteen. The years had gone by fast. Too fast.
"So how are we going to celebrate Rianne's birthday?" Taylor asked. I just shrugged my shoulders. They really didn't have to do much.
"I already told you guys that you don't need to do anything for me. You've already given me a great trip. I don't need anything else."
"C'mon, it's the big #17!" Marie said "You should celebrate it."
I nodded, but even so I couldn't decide what I wanted to do for it. They started sharing ideas and then all left the table leaving me. They all huddled up.
I got up and tried to join them. Cameron laughed and pushed me out of it. I sat back down feeling awkward and silent.
"So we gotta plan?" Taylor asked.
"Yep," They all said and then went to the front door.
I felt really silent and awkward just wondering what they were going to do. I got up and gave Taylor a hug from behind as he was about to slip on his shoes. Apparently, they were going somewhere and they were leaving me behind.
Taylor turned around and gave me a quick hug kissing my cheek.
"Where are you going?"
"Just some birthday shopping for my girl," He winked "We'll be back in an hour or so."
"Do you need me to give you some money?" I asked.
Seriously, Taylor had spent a lot of money on me for this trip and I felt a bit spoiled. I knew he loved me and that was his way of showing it, but still I felt a bit bad for it. He really didn't have to do this.
"Rianne, don't be rediculous. You aren't supposed to pay for your own gifts." Bali laughed. She did have a point.
With that, they walked out of the house.
Taylor's pov:
When we walked out of the house, I checked my wallet to see how much money I had. I used some of the money that Rianne and I got in fanmail letters. A lot of people had donated a lot in just support. After opening up thousands of envelopes, we ended up with about five hundred dollars. I never expected to make so much money over this trip.
The mall wasn't far away so we decided to walk. It wasn't too bad to walk with a slight breeze and having it be about 78 degrees.
We finally got there and I think everyone had an idea what they wanted to get Rianne. I really had no idea so I just searched through random stores. What did Rianne like? Singing, Perfume, Clothes and other stuff. Everyone seperated in to different stores to go find her something.
I decided to head in to a store that did personalized things. I had the perfect idea. I walked up to the counter and saw a short woman with red curly hair and freckles.
"May I help you?" She asked.
"Yeah, can you guys put this picture on a locket necklace and have it say something special."
I showed her a picture of Rianne and I. We were laying down on a blanket while we were having our picnic and watching fireworks. She had her head thrown back laughing and she snuggled in closer to me. I had my arm wrapped around her while I kissed her cheek.
"You and Rianne are so adorable," She said.
"You know who we are?" I asked.
"It's all over the internet," She laughed. She told me that she could do that for me. I was going to have something special put on the necklace just for her. I couldn't wait for her to see it.
"Well, thank you so much." I said.
She nodded and I walked out of the store. I would have to go back and get the necklace in a day or two.
I saw Cameron and walked over to him. He and Bali had a bag of something from Bath and Body Works, one of Rianne's favorite stores.
"Hey!" I said.
"Hey," Cameron said along with Bali. We walked towards some other stores to go and find everyone else. Bali got silent all of a sudden and tapped me on the shoulder. I wondered what she was thinking.
"What?" I asked. Bali pointed over to a boy and girl sitting at a table by a Chinese restaurant in the food court. The girl looked up and flipped her blonde hair. It was Melany. She was with a boy who didn't look too pleased to be with her. He held her hand, but looked annoyed.
Melany was just using him to make me jealous. I smiled at her and then laughed. I couldn't stop laughing. Luckily for me, Melany didn't come over to me. She just sat there and tried to make herself look cute by being ditsy.
"She expected you to like her?" Cameron asked.
"Yeah!" I continued laughing.
"I don't think I want her hanging around our summer house." Cameron said as we walked away. Everyone finally met up with us and I finished off my talk about Melany by saying "Don't worry. I won't be hanging out with her ever."
We all left the store and went back home. I couldn't wait for Rianne to see what I got her.
