Chp 19: Promise ring

Taylor's pov:

About a week ago, I had gone to a jewlery store at the mall. To celebrate Rianne and I dating, I got her something. A promise ring. It had to be special. When we broke up, I thought that I would throw it away, but I knew there had to be a reason for waiting. So I did and I decided tonight would be the perfect night to give it to her. This was what happened at the mall.

I was looking at the beautiful rings just picturing them on Rianne's finger and her excitment as she saw it. A woman came up to me and helped me look. She thought that I was purposing to Rianne. I was still a teen. I explained to her and she led me over to a glass case. I remember seeing the ring and knowing it was the one. It was a silver rind with a pinkish white jewel in the middle. Around the ring, the lady did something special where she made it "Rianne and Taylor forever."

I couldn't wait for her to see it.

Rianne's pov:

I swear that time that we kissed, it was magical. I couldn't picture anything being better. I didn't want Jack and I was glad he understood, but this was about Taylor. I was afraid I was going to get a big scrape when I felt myself falling back, but then Taylors strong arms wrapped around me stopping me. I looked up into his big brown eyes. He looked into mine and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He leaned forward pulling me up a little bit. I felt his lips against mine. I smiled and played with the ends of his hair. He kissed my cheek and then pulled back. I felt like the weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I picked up the basketball and continued to play. I ran away from him jumping up and smashing the ball into the hoop. I jumped up and down and played around.

"One point for Rianne!" I grabbed the basketball and dunked it again. Taylor smirked and rolled his eyes. He walked over to me and took out his phone. He told me that we should probably let people know that things were okay between us. We took a few selfies. One was of us doing a typical cheesy smile. Another one, I wrapped my arms around him and kissed his cheek while laughed. That was my favorite. Our last one was a typical Taylor Caniff picture. He lifted up his shirt showing his abs. I just put a hand on my hip and stuck out my tongue. We were so weird. I gave him a little nudge when he showed his abs and he laughed.

"You must like showing your six pack in photos." I laughed. We both started cracking up. I sat down on the court with him.

"I think everyone knows that by now!"

"I have a six pack of pudding." I said. Taylor put his hand on my stomach and rolled his eyes.

"You do not!"

"I was kidding." I said. Taylor and I walked over to a big willow tree and just sat underneath it. It was about nine at night, but we didn't leave. I grabbed onto his hand and saw our finger intertwined. I smiled and leaned into his chest. He rubbed my back and we started talking about random stuff. Taylor's hand met my legs where I was the most ticklish. Oh great. He started tickling me. I fell back onto the grass laughing and kicking my legs. He laughed and he fell right next to me continuing to tickle me.

"Taylor stoooppp it!" I begged. He stopped and we just stared at the stars. He grabbed my hand and kissed it. I smiled and turned to my side facing him. He kissed my lips. I cuddled closer to him. He wrapped his arms around me and I checked my twitter and saw that we got about 22,000 likes altogether. Surprisingly, I got more people telling us that they were glad that we were back together. Of course, there were haters. I didn't pay attention and either did taylor. I retweeted it and then put my phone back down. Taylor sat up and I sat in his lap. He wrapped his arms around me and whispered to me.

"I have to give you something. It's really important to me and hopefully it will be for you too."

I smiled and whispered back that he could give it to me whatever it was. I got off of his lap and he pulled something out of his pocket. I couldn't see it. It was all wrapped up in his hand. He grabbed my hand with his other hand and I knew I was about to tear up.

"Rianne, we've gone through our ups and downs, but I will never be able to love someone like I love you. You're beautiufl and the one that I picture in my life forever. To prove that to you, I want to give you this. It's a promise ring."

He held out the most beautiful ring that I had ever seen. It was silver with a pinkish white jewel in the middle and on the rim of the ring it said "Rianne and Taylor forever". I felt the tears coming as I slipped it on. It was gorgeous. I ran into Taylor's arms and whispered "It's beautiful."

I was always one of those people that didn't want people spending a bunch of money on me. It just felt bad, but I asked anyways.

"300 dollars." He said. I gasped.

"Taylor, you didn't have to-"

"You're worth every penny." He said. I blushed and gave him another hug. He kissed my neck and told me that he had saved up the money for awhile. I couldn't believe that he did that. I felt like I really should pay him back, but he insisted that I didn't. I took a picture of it and sent it to a few people. Kay sent back a picture of a bracelet that Nash gave her. They were adorable. Cameron sent a picture of Bali kissing him on the cheek and captioned it "Congratulaions(:"

When we got home, my mom was sitting out at the coffee table. I was so excited and showed her the ring. She smiled, but looked afraid.

"Do you think you'll be able to keep the relationship when the trip ends?" She said. I sat down next to her. The thought made me upset, but I really thought that Taylor and I could keep the relationship. I nodded and my mom examined the ring.

"It really is beautiful, sweetie. I'm happy for you." She said. I told her about our date and she listened. I finished up our conversation with her with one special sentence.

"I really love him." I said.

I really tried to make it long for you. anyways, funniest thing happened today. i was in science and we had to write something, but i made magcon a part of my "science" story. well mr. science guy just decides to read my whole essay to the whole 8th grade and they all knew it was me. but whatever. swag. they will deal with my fangirling.
